IMG_6036.jpeg This was a super computer

Before the start of the season the

supercomputer predicted that Leicester City would finish on 88 points. We acheived that today with 6 matches to play. It is like a library in here tonight

A Supercomputer has predicted the Championship

    Bristol City to finish 4th

….. I deduce from this that the championship is too unpredictable for a supercomputer - and the press - and the pundits.
It’s also too unpredictable for us fans!

Not for RR, just waiting for him to say this would have been a reality if we stuck with Nige:headbang::headbang:

The biggest single issue was not improving the front line when Semenyo went-basket case of a decision by the owners. Big issues next season Conway off -major reinforcement required new front line required.

It's always been the owners making the calls, it was under all our previous managers, as it was for Nige, and will be for Liam.

We have a history of letting key players go and not replacing them. It’s been happening for the duration of the Lansdown ownership and transcended different management tenures. Look at how many of our team captains were ‘lost’ when LJ was in charge.
Conway will leave and I suspect we’ll just have to try and use who we have left to compensate for his loss. Mind you, he’s hardly set the league alight this season…..

Shocking season since Nige left and the same with Bell.

Tbf - LM or any other manager we have won't be able bring in 65 to replace these 'team captains'.
It was a different world back then for LJ.

Written from the bar next to the Clock Tower pub in Torremolinos under cloudless skies.
No doubt you and 1For think the San Miguel's talking <cheers>

Or, they were both 1 season wonders? I think Conway can be the real deal, not so sure about Bell tbh.
Conway was also struggling under Nige at the start of the season. He played his best football when partnered with Nakhi. I think he’s suffered in order to shore up the defence this season.

You’re right RP, it was a different world everyone was paying, and receiving big money back them. We broke our record transfer fee received about 5 times back then. Trying to compare then and now is impossible, we were still not even top 10 spenders in the Championship back during those days, that was the cost to compete.
    Enjoy the sun and beer!!

The scattergun policy has ended because Ashton is no longer COO and our strategy has evolved - and rightly so, but our ‘policy’ of shedding key players and not replacing them like for like is still very much alive at BS3 - regardless as to who the manager is at any given time.

Wish I was in Torremolinos - I have to wait until mid-June - but I’ll be there when the Euros are on - can’t wait!! ( I also return to the UK before the semis, so I’m probably going to see all the England games whilst I’m there <laugh>

    Mine too.
Alhambra is also nice - but it will punish you if you drink too much of it. It’s quite strong.
Victoria is a ‘safe’ beer - good for an 8 pint session. A Spanish version of Carling or Coors.
Don’t like Cruzcampo - I WILL tolerate it if no other draught beer is available but can only take about 3 at most. Same with San Miguel - although I can go to about 6 of those - it’s very sickly sweet.

Bell has been injured for ages. He started well this season with a few goals but went dry well before Nige left.

Anyway you said he’s not a championship player, so how are you trying to use him in an arguement of
    Nige v Liam??
