At big Daves press conference (which is rumoured to be today)

Usual bullshit, or maybe something a bit more optimistic?

Probably injury updates, no news on M'Vila, we are still scouting but have an eye on several players.

    same as usual then.

I would imagine the same bullshit as every manager spews out at the press conferences. However, he would do himself no harm at all by giving the fans a very clear message about incoming players. Less than 2 weeks to go, no signings and a threadbare squad. He has his work cut out.

David Moyes is holding his first press conference as Sunderland manager this morning.
After the team returned from their pre-season trip to France, Moyes is set to face the media at the Academy of Light.

The former Everton and Manchester United boss is expected to answer questions at around 11am.

He says that we have offers in for players! I dont wanna hear 'offers in for players'. Sounds too much like dealings are still in their early stages. I wanna hear things like 'oooh look whose just walked in holding a Sunderland scarf aloft, hello Yann!!' And suchlike.

He dropped a clanger wearing a black and white tie, the tit!

Not sure why everybody is having a meltdown about the lack of signings, Moyes has been in the job for one week, everything we done before that point would have probably been scrapped. It's not early days for other clubs, but it is very early days for us, and we should accept now that our transfers will be getting done right up until the last day.

I think they'll both go on loan if/when Pogba comes in, unless you offer £17m+ for Fellaini then he could go permanently.

Fellaini you have a real chance of getting if he wants to leave, because he really loves Moyes in a completely gay way.

Januzaj, rumour has it he wants a permanent transfer away, if that's the case he could go anywhere, but if he's leaving on loan it'll be you lot or Boro.

I say get our money out and sign both of them. All the pissing around with loans gets us nowhere. Offer 30m for both and get it done. If Januzaj plays well he will be worth loads more in the future. Speculate to accumulate.

Then get M'Villa a CB and RB in and that should do us till Jan.

Defoe, Borini and Watmore will be fine as options for 1 up top with those players behind them.
