In a situation like Turkey, you find yourself with nothing but what you stand in, and you're family gone.

On a serious note - that scenario is very difficult to comprehend.

Honestly wouldn’t have a clue what I’d do, or how I’d react.

The pictures on the news are simply awful - my heart goes out to all that are affected.

I hope you look back on the previous reply and wish you had never done it.

Can't comprehend the thought of living in countries where you're very existence can just crumble as a result of earthquakes, hurricanes, tornados, volcanoes etc. You're home and family gone because earth basically farts. Terrible.

Luckily I live in a country where the state would step in and support me, however if I had lost all my family I would probably top myself and join them. Horrible situation for all of those innocent people who have lost everything, I wish them all the best.

You pray that millions of decent people will text CRISIS to 70787 to donate £10 without even stopping to think.

Absolutely horrific situation. That little baby that was pulled out still attached to its mother by the umbilical cord, all of its family gone. The little lad drinking sips of water from the bottle top while still trapped in the rubble. Really awful situation to be in.

my lass just showed me some footage of a little lad being pulled from the rubble who is the image of our little grandson, he's smiling and laughing at the rescuers, and greets his dad with a friendly slap in the face! ... exactly what our little bugger would do! its heartbreaking to watch, I hope they get the global response that should happen in all tragedies like this one.

Imagine being the only member of your family who survived! These poor little beggars who have had this thrust on them. Life is tough and we’ve got to be grateful for what we’ve got. I complain about stuff that is totally irrelevant compared to what these people are going through. God bless them x
