About Football, and don't all answer at once!!

You just could not make up the sequence of results over the past 3 games!!

But - ANOTHER away win, being a curmudgeonly old so and so, but because of the home games against Villa and Wigan, humble pie is NOT on the menu tonite!

Also, hands up all of us that moaned about the signing of Crouch:emoticon-0138-think:emoticon-0138-think:emoticon-0138-think:emoticon-0138-think:emoticon-0138-think

  2. Well Nick I always thought Crouchie was a good signing as he can hold the ball up and pass to others and score the odd goal or two. I believe that I said that back in September.

You eating humble pie, Not for a minute would I think you and many others do that. I have said elsewhere that I do not support how TP manages but I will not join all those who want to slate him every time we do play poorly and so so cautiously or negatlively. I have had too much of that just like many others.

I appreciate that TP has got us to the EPL for 4 years and like you, want us to play in a more adventorous way. However, I do not want us to be a yoyo team like others. For me it is a balancing act and IMHO TP targets games to get points. We all know it is not great to watch but we are a comfortable 8th and have every chance of proving we can finish in the top 10.

Anyway I will await the missiles.

    Best Wishes

    I DID Nicky!
Complained and Humble pie is fine by me.
My WISH for 2012 is simple... KEEP doing WHAT you did today Mr Pulis.. go for the WIN it CAN work as shown today.
Still frustrated about the two home games but on the brightside, we're 8th, we needed that win as all those around us won.

Oh, and ARSENAL lost .... WELL done Tony and the lads 17pts from 24 is something only the top FOUR would expect.

Put's it into perspective so WHAT he heck do I know... nice one T.P. I hope you get MOTM in MAY not December. <applause> I want us to keep this going and who knows? where we can go from here.

    Cris <applause> fair play Sir.

I have indeed eaten humble pie, just a week or so ago, prior to the Man City game.

You have Cris, been consistant in your opinions regarding Pulis, and so have I, albeit from an opposing position.

His tactics are one thing, his public utterance are something else again, they appear to me to be aimed at alienating the supporters and sounds both patronising and insulting.

Cris, I really do respect your opinion and admire the amount of miles you clock up supporting our beloved Stoke, but I cannot and will not accept the man nor his tactics at my football club.

Matter of opinion mate - vive la difference

    Happy 2012 bud

I think the recent run of points is an excellent return and as I ahve said on many a thread that I never dreamnt that we could get a haul as rich as the one we are blessed with!

Detest the man, from a personal perspective (which I have witnessed for myself) and his proffesional aloofness akin to Royalty - printed in the press on a regular basis - the man is a kretin! More importantly though, at present he is doing a decent job even though he does it differently to 99.99% of everbody elso on the planet!

Okay we don't play like Utd , citeh , chelsea , arsenal, spurs or liverpool.....or wolves ,bolton and blackburn for that matter . But the job is being done , not as quickly as some may like but we're slowly getting there. If you add on the points we expected to get from the likes of bolton, wigan, newcastle qpr etc onto the ones we have, we'd be in the top 5 . I would love stoke to play super football like barcelona but on a ground that holds 27500 and an unfashionable area , LETS FACE IT ,we're never going to attract the very best players and we're always going to be mid-table with the odd good cup run, until Coates decides he's had enough. Then , who knows . One thing that has improved since the promotion season......We've got players that other teams would want in their team. Pulis is always going to play safe first and foremost and i for one hope it continues . I'd rather we had a club as stable as stoke than the other financial messes we play against .
