5 year contract is a good length. The questions I'd ask myself to make the decision would be, what opportunities will this open up for me? Which will develop me further? Which will be most beneficial in the long term? How will it effect things outside the job, family/relationship?

I know you want a stay or go answer but without knowing what the 2 options are it's difficult for me to say either way. Plus without knowing anything about how it may effect you personal life/family situation. Sorry.

Are you happy in your current job?

IMO - If you are happy in your current job, to which you state it is also safe(ish) - I'd stay where you are.
That extra money, does not necessarily bring extra happiness which is important when most of your life is spent working.

only thing id say is i would like to hope the economy would be better in 5 years so the prospect of getting another job could be better. but as others had said dont think any of us are well enough placed with enough detail to help you make the decision soz
