Ok, bit off topic. But it came up on the match day thread. Just wondering what you all drive, and if you had the cash, what you'd like to drive ? I'm a bit of a VW head. Currently driving a 02 Golf TDI - mapped to 150bhp Before that I had a Caddy, slow as ****, but great for lugging stuff around. Before that a T4, lovely van, but blew the head gasket and warped the head. If I had the cash, I'd go for a T5 with all the mods.
Like **** off of a shovel those r32s I sometimes go to some VW meets, some of the lads there have got them. I drove one once, put my foot down and nearly left my arse in the back seat
59 Renault Twingo Extreme, silver. Got the sports pack with it, but no alloy wheels though I would have scratched the **** out of them by now with my female parking skills. If I had the cash I'd drive a Bugatti Veyron Super Sports. Subtle, I know.
I recently sold my car, had a ford focus ST, really nice car, I'm in the middle of changing careers at the moment so made sense to sell it and use the money for my career change, my brother works away a lot so I use his car at present and it's just a standard ford focus, not a patch on the ST. I was saving up to buy a focus RS, but TBH there's not much difference between the RS and the ST except the price lol.
i looked into buying an RS but the insurance was obscene, i already have to pay £850 a year for my ST
Aye, insurance is a bit of o **** with these sort of cars, im just approaching my 30s so mine was coming down, had and escort GTi when I was 20, crazy the insurance I was paying lol.
Well, my username you can see that Insurance for me costs a right fortune. Still looking for a suitable car, have a Corsa in mind just because I learned to drive and passed the test in one. I do get quoted Insurance deals which actually cost more than any prospective cars I look for
You can get some pretty nice 1.2 Corsa's that shouldn't cost you the earth to insure, but it's a pain in the arse. I remember the days when it cost an arm and a leg to insure a car. Generally I didn't - I used to cycle everywhere instead
Does anybody remember that bloke from BBC 606 who reckoned he drove a Bugatti Veyron ? In his profile, amongst other things he said that he drove this flash car, had many one night stands, had chiseled handsome looks, was well endowed and was a medical student at Oxford . . . Shame for him that one of my best mates is a research fellow at Oriel and tutors the medical students there. He never really posted after I asked him if he'd met her
Up until recently I had a nice Ford - but a combination of 17 yr old son, first driving lesson (on the cheap!!) with me, and a tree tha "wasnt there just now" means that i am temporarily without wheels and facing hefty insurance and repair bills. One huge lesson learnt.......
