Just started a book called 'The Unquiet' by John Connolly. Only read the first 4 chapters so far, but has got me hooked
I can have 3 or 4 books on the go at any one time, and find it easy to keep up with them. If however, I start reading a series of books, then I have to read them one at a time and in order. This is a pain when they are older books from a few years ago, like the Sven Hassel books, Alexander kent or the Bernard Cornwell ones.
No i don't read same more then one time but sometimes the book which is having so much suspense then i read the same book two times only. And i was reading work is worship and before that i red herry porter.
Just started reading Thus Spoke Zarathustra by Nietzsche. Not bad so far. And yes, I am a pretentious **** whose mental reach exceeds its grasp.
I'm reading The Restaurant at the End of the Universe on the toilet, Treasure Island on the phone and Val McDermid's The Torment of Others when I have time to dip into it.
I've just finished the Hitchhickers series, though it was brilliant. Currently reading Equal Rites, the third book in Terry Pratchett's Discworld.
Just finished the 3rd Game of Thrones about to start the 4th.Storm of Swords(blood and gold) Never even heard of it until Gambol posted about it a few months back now I'm becoming addicted
I'm currently reading Steven Pinker's, The Better Angels of our Nature - in which Pinker argues (at 1,000 pages quite comprehensively) that the human race is making massive strides away from conflict and violence, and towards peaceful cohabitation - with violent crime, wars, murders, death counts in individual wars all dropping like a stone over the last few centuries. It's a bit dry in places, but if you can soldier on through the chapters which are heavy on stats then it's an awesome read (so far).
