I'm talking about United and £ity, of course. United take on mid-table 'Pool, and £ity take on mid-table wannabes Arsenal. By far the easiest match to call is United v 'Pool. It's going to be a slaughter for the Mousers, I think. I reckon 3-0, at least. However, if the Mousers have the audacity to score first, I reckon it could be more for United. The harder match to call is Arsenal v £ity. The Gooners have home-advantage, which means they could well hold out for the draw. However, I am going to be bold and go with 1-2 to £ity, putting to bed Arsenal's hopes of a top 4 finish.
Mousers pushed them hard last 30 and Sturridge made a difference. 2nd goal technically offside as well. 'Fraid I think the Goons will win - odd goal in 5.
"There are around 2,000 City fans at the Emirates today, with some boycotting because of the £62 ticket price, but they are out-singing the 58,000 Arsenal supporters at the moment. I imagine Gunners fans are shellshocked - after all City never win at Arsenal. The last time they did so was in 1975." (Source: BBC Football Live) Oh, dear! Guess we won't be hearing from PESKIE, today.
So, it's Arsenal 0 - 2 £ity, at half-time, with the Gunners down to 10 men. Personally, I'd like to see Arsenal concede another 4 goals, at least, to bring down their goal-difference.
Saw this on the Gunners' board, obviously written before this evening's kick-off:- Well, that was always unlikely, wasn't it, PESKIE? Go on, be honest. Now, it looks like an impossibility. Mind that gap, won't you!
True, PNP. However, I think £ity have a bit more quality than WBA. Shame Kompany got sent off, because I think £ity had at least two more goals in them, today.
Mancini's negativity allowed the Goons to regain some composure and momentum, for me. He took too long to make any changes, too.
Yeah, I can see Mancini being sacked at the end of this season, if he carries on like he is, especially if the rumours about Guardiola are true.
So, as I predicted, our rivals win today, and both 'Pool and Arsenal are left to battle the rest of the season out in the top-of-mid-table. Our point away at QPR doesn't look so bad, now, does it! Of the teams around us, only Chelsea won.
Not that we'll see or hear anything of PESKIE today, but it would be nice if, for a change, he quoted the things I get right. I predicted another trouncing for Gunners on their own manor, and I think he should give me credit for that, by putting something suitable in his signature.
The answer to that question is very simple, mate. It's because Whinger is bending over backwards to give little Walnut whatever it takes to make the little smarmy, greedy runt to stay at the Library. We all know that Walnut is not a striker and will never make it in the top-flight as one; we all know that the only thing he's good at is running really fast towards the corner-flag, and (if he's against crap defenders) getting in a hopeful cross. But, for what ever mad reason, Whinger has been taken in by Walnut's bull5hit about him being a top striker, and is allowing himself to be rodgered stupid by the little weasel. And the really sad part is that every Gooner is happy to believe in all the bull5hit, too.
