Just to get in the festive mood thought it would be interesting to see what my fellow Spurs fans will be doing over the Xmas/New Year
I will be doing the friends Xmas eve getogether tonight(24th) that will go into the early hours.
Christmas day family thing-no need to elaborate!
Then on boxing day some of my wife's relatives will be arriving for 2 weeks<steam> - when they go my sister is arriving from UK for a month!!
    After that - I'll need a holiday

Having said all that I'd like to wish you all a very merry<bubbly> Christmas and a happy and prosperous (especially for Spurs) New Year<cheers>

Same to you PL. I'm back in blighty with the family. Must be mad, it was 24c and a beautiful sunny day when I left Alicante this afternoon!. Not as hot as where you are, I know. But it is winter in Spain. Here for 10 days. I'll be chomping at the bit to get away after 4-5 days.

Stop all this "too hot" chit chat Perryman!!! It's miserable here as usual! No snow as normal, but it's not even that cold. Just wet and overcast! <laugh>

I'm off to my sisters this year (her cooking is unbelievable by the way), and seeing friends in the eve for a few beers.

Absolutely no chance am I going out tonight either. Every year I get **** faced on Christmas Eve and have to deal with family and a hangover. I've learnt my lesson. (Bring on the food!!)

A pleasure speaking to each and every one of you again. What a great bunch of people we've got on here and it seems to be a fast growing community.

Thanks again to YV, Spurf and PNP for all their efforts.

Merry Christmas guys. - have a great time where ever you are, who you are with, and what ever you're doing.

    COYS!!!

    Roo.

Cheers. Same to you. Let's all hope for a happy Xmas; and, of course, that Villa are still suffering from PTSD on Boxing Day!..

My daughter agrees with you she hates the heat and her ambition is to spend chrissie in a cold place.
I suggested the fridge- she threw something at me- actually she meant UK:cheesy:
Cheers Roo(you sure you don't have Aussie blood in you)!

  10. Happy Xmas one and all.....<cracker>

I am lucky enough to be escaping the dismal grey and rain of the UK and heading off to Shanghai tomorrow for a week. Apparently it's going to be grey and rainy there too!! Just my luck. At least it will be a few days free of listening to Slade every bloody five minutes!!

Hopefully to return to find 6 points and a hatful of goals in the bag!!! COYS!!

Telling people that Die Hard and The Amityville Horror both count as Christmas films, mostly...

That's quite a claim considering the vast dross that's been dredged up for Christmas on a regular basis. I agree you could argue that it's overplayed and not to everyone's taste but there's a lot lot worse.

There's plenty worse - not least the horrors inflicted by The Darkness and Mariah Carey.

Die Hard is the first film that I think of when people mention Christmas films. Let It Snow and lots of actors with bad accents getting shot. Very festive.
The Fail flipped out the other day because the Rotten Tomatoes site voted it the 6th best Christmas film of all time! <laugh>
    Lethal Weapon came 11th.

sorry chaps, but that Slade song is too much for me. I literally can't stand it, to the point where I've walked out of shops that are playing it.

wizzard, mariah carey, bing crosby, band aid... no problem. (although still ****e)

I hate that Band Aid song.
Partially because it's got Bono in it, but mainly because if every twat that sang on it gave up their coke money for the duration of recording it, then they could've fed the starving themselves.
That and the tax-dodging, sanctimonious arsehole. Oh, I mentioned him already, didn't I? The ****er. Sorry.
