Made a chicken curry today, method, half a chicken breast diced pan fried with half an onion until just cooked. I get frozen veg from a German supermarket ( not Aldi) cooked until tender. All above ingredients in a pan with jar of carbonara sauce and heap teaspoon curry powder simmer until nice temperature and serve on bed of pilau rice. Bon appetite
My first thoughts please log in to view this image Swap the carbonara sauce for a tin of coconut milk (available in said store) add some fresh chilli peppers and some fresh ginger and you are cooking
Sounds awful. More like a bastardised coronation chicken than a curry. Make yourself a batch of BIR base gravy and cook up a storm from there.
Is this a cooking thread to give us a chance to help others with and/or show off our culinary skills ? If so, it's a good idea
Filet Steak with dauphinoise potatoes, griddled corn, tomatoes on the vine roasted with olive oil/balsamic green beans roasted with parmesan and garlic. Steaks done on the bbq. My signature dish
My boss, who's very Scottish, comes here for weekends and goes to Balgove butchers at St Andrews. He buys steaks, etc, and has a BBQ whenever he likes which is quite often ... ... absolutely nothing stops him, his wife just shakes her head, smiles and sits under the parasol
I was doing bacon sandwiches for everyone on Xmas Day. I would cook everything on my grill if I could. I ****ing love St Andrews by the way - had one of the best weekends of my life there when I was 20
I love being in the kitchen, cooking etc.I only have one rule when I'm in there, a very simple rule "Keep the f**k out".Boring pasta tuna mayo on the cards. Too warm for anything else.
BIR base curry mmmmmm. Me too you can fashion into so many types of curry. My freezer is never empty of this staple of our culinary lives. KTF
try barbaque mexican meal, Mince beef, mixed peppers(jar), lettuce, their sauce/powder, 2 slices of red leicester all fried in olive oil, use 'boats' x 4 warmed in the oven, put the mixture in boats, yum yum serves 2.
Absolutely love cooking, find it so relaxing, especially with a nice drink to sip! Last night I made a Greek Pie, with salad and the night before 'Marry me chicken' on a bed of fresh spaghetti.
If I cook, I’m grilling. Although I felt like a fraud going to a gas bbq, it means you can grill more often and more variety. Did a Roast chicken at the weekend. when I need to replace current bbq soon, will get a smaller gas one and a kamado egg for charcoal grilling on a weekend. Best taste in the world, grilled meat/fish/veg…
I've flipped between charcoal and gas for years. Went back to gas last year and it's been a game changer. You cannot beat the smell/taste of food cooked over coal, but the gas bbq is just so convenient. I might buy a charcoal one too so I have the option of both.
