Just a thought cos there is no footie worth watching ie Bristol City and even Gascellona not playing what are you all going to do this summer?
Watching Round 1 of the Ashes. By the way it is almost winter here in Oz now Shiny. A very chilly 20 degrees today...
The Sun has made a fleeting appearence in London, and yes it's a bank holiday weekend in the UK which usually means a little sun on the Friday and Saturday and it will piss down Sunday and Monday.
Just a thought Since Murdoch bought the Sun it seems to spend less time in the UK and even more time in Australia do you think that is a coincidence theory?
I'm in London tomorrow where it is supposed to be 19 degrees. Off to see Muse tomorrow, Madness in 2 weeks time then 2 weeks after that The Killers. Off to Italy beginning of August so will miss the first 2 weeks of the season. Apart from that I might just sell some more concrete. I dont like cricket, but don't mind the one day days world cup tournament. Like Wimbledon so that's 2 weeks sorted hope Andy Murrey wins this year would like to see a British Men's winner in my lifetime and hoping the Olympics and win in the US Open spurs him on.
Murray has apparently withdrawn from the French open with an injury that does not look good for wimbledon.
That would be nice but it's one of the drawbacks of living here in glorious sunshine, with 33°C today but no cricket or proper English ale. I stay out of the sun in the day because I don't want to cook myself. Much of this summer will be spent swimming in rivers where the local councils build dams, cafes and toilets with free entry. The rest of the time we'll be planning a permanent return to the Bristol area as we appear to have a sale of the house here. Until she pays the deposit though, we won't get too excited but looks likely. We'll miss the climate, empty roads and the quiet lifestyle but are looking forward to a much improved social life because the farmers here don't do "social and culture" apart from nattering and moaning about the weather. So looks like I'll be taking advantage of the price reduced season ticket offer.
After a 3 week holiday in the States from late March, saving for the next one, waiting to see who we'll sign for next season and drinking lots and lots of beer. And we're also getting a kitten tomorrow!
Thank you Hawk. If she confirms go ahead on sale, it should be straightforward but the car journey back with a wife, a 16 year old cat and a very lively 3 year old dog could be interesting!
