It didn't sort of shout at us ,well not me anyway when I heard that an 18 year old had been bought by City from Fulham for about £11m including add ons.I than began thinking about it he's only 18 only made 22 appearances .So you are saying so what Well it may prove my mate WJ quite right when he said my valuation of Byram being £8m was an undervaluation and that 10m or more would be the asking price Well the price City paid has definitely raised the bar as far as I'm concerned along with the value of young Gray from Birmingham so it will be interesting to see how this pans out but I'm sorry to say I expect Byram to be on his bike in the not too distant future.Lets hope unlike the previous regimes its spent on reinforcing the squad I would still like to see Morison Doukara Ajose Sharp Wootton Bianchi sorry WJ and if we can't fit Sloth into our formation he may as well be sold as well To replace them Dakirwa from Chesterfield another striker and 2 wide boys with Pace and quality crossing ability I don't care what Rosler says out front to the press I still believe Erwin will be our new found nugget So lets wait and see I for one will not speculate about how well we will do until I see the strength of the squad.I remember last season everyone was talking about Forest for auto and look what happened to them no one noticed little old Bournemouth!
Good point Mike but you don't/haven't played with Bournemouth's no fear football philosophy. Also you'd better edit his 187 age otherwise you'll get slaughtered mate!
Usual nonsense from the media We actually paid £2m for Roberts with a possibility of another £6m in add ons if he plays a certain amount of PL games
Patrick Roberts is clear quality though, I'd have him over Byram every day of the week. Dunno whether you've ever seen him play but he has pace, ability to beat a man and can cut in on his left to have a shot. Good young player who would've been future england but not so sure now he'll be wasting away on Citeh's bench. Maybe we can get him on loan...
Think he only started two games at Fulham, rest were sub appearances ... Citeh buying young English to meet their quota, so I don't expect him to get anywhere near the first team and undoubtedly we will watch him leave on a free transfer three seasons from now as he tries to rebuild his career at Cambridge United ... and people wonder why England can't compete at the World Cup Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Yes I'm afraid you are so right Billy BTW I don't think for one moment they would iniatially sell him to City for £2m not having paid£ !!m for McContract
Mike, don't think Fulham are in a position to negotiate much after failing to get promotion ... they will now be starting to feel the pain of high wages against a 15k following Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
In fairness I haven't seen 2m quoted anywhere before this thread. Most sources say 10m with a couple saying 8m.
