What about adding Gary to our banner?

    As fans there is little we can do to show respect to Gary other than be at matches where his memory is respected by silence/applause.

    What we could do is add him to our banner forever.........I can't recall who won the banner competition but I'd be happy to ask the winner to add Gary.

    Thoughts?

    Can anyone recall who won the banner design?

    The reason the whole thing was delayed was the amount of amends and from recollection Mick took a week or two to put it up.

    Yep, I did the current banner and it did strike me earlier but I didn't suggest it as it
    may've seemed a bit 'off' to some. That and it took forever to get the thing put up too!

    Blasphemy maybe but I wondered if Gary would be better instead of Shearer. Sometimes,
    you know, it's easy to go off some people... :undecided:

    Wouldn't it be better having a signature graphic with a tribute that you will see on every post?

    Thanks for replying to the post as fast.

    I think the earlier idea "Secret Ingredient" had of mirroring the Bobby Robson pic would fit nicely, but hey you have the right to design what you see fit. Leaving it to committee will take forever.

    I think it's probably best to leave everything to unravel a bit before making changes.
    After-all, it's only just happened and we don't know the whole story.

    Even though it's not nice to say, this whole thing could have a very dark underbelly for all we know.
