......to be a QPR fan, I have just listened to TF on the following BBC link: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/14566122.stm and I have no shame in telling you all that I felt goosebumps all over listening to the enthusiasm, respect and knowledge that he had for the club and the fans, even though he is a ´hammer´ at heart. I was lucky enough to have a season ticket when I was a teenager back in the golden era (mid-seventies) and a die-hard SA Road boy during the early eighties, my greatest moment as a QPR fan was watching Clive Allen ´knee-in´ the winner against WBA at Highbury in 1982, I cried, yes I did when that happened and the following noise from the North Bank would never be forgotton, ´wemberlee wemberlee´ ´we´re all goin a wemberlee!´ I sure you remember the rest....anyway today it just feels like that day again!!!. Just wanted to share a special moment with all the other die-hards out there that have been through the mill that is ´Queen´s Park Rangers´ Onwards and upwards!!!!! Cheers all the best to you all!!! A wonderful day indeed...can't quite remember 1982, but even over the past 20 years supporting Rangers I've had my fair share of woes. Looking SO much more hopeful for the future now. Excited about who the 3/4/5 players that Warnock is after are. Could be a great end of August...
Cheers Madrid, I was with you there on the North bank for this one! 8mins
Indeed and couldn't really have come at a better time what with last weeks result. Should give the club and hopefully the team a much needed boost before the tough trip to Goodison. I really want to see who we end up signing before the end of August before I get too excited though!
Funny.....I was thinking today about the march to Wembley from loftus road for the final. I remember Rangers fans pissing on the northbank at highbury... I might have to do that in Ellerslie if they dont sort the crush for the toilets there..
