https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52168692 Any bloody excuse! As if it's only the NHS that's suffering
Bunch of ****s using their tax contribution to avoid helping their own clubs and the employees of their own clubs, whilst blaming the league, the government and everyone else at the same time. Would much rather pay to charity than take a cut, no surprise there. Rose thinks it’s bizzare that the country are making commentary on players not doing their bit while football clubs across the pyramid struggle and make ****ish decisions. Dickhead.
I don’t know how some of the players are going to be able to show their faces at the club when this is over and they turn up having done **** all to help their own clubs and the employees who help them run so that the ****s can earn so much, when those employees have had to take pay cuts and the clubs have struggled through.
Well, what a surprise. Refusing to take a pay cut is one thing, but to dress it up as being to avoid a detrimental effect on the NHS is ****ing sick. Greedy, greedy ****s. This could kill top level footie this.
It's a shambles that top clubs are allowing what's essentially the tax payer to pick up the majority of their lowest paid employees wages. This 'excuse' against players contributing just takes the piss even more.
Danny Rose - on loan at Newcastle from Tottenham - said that Premier League players were keen to give up a portion of their wages to help good causes, but felt their "backs are against the wall" regarding the pressure they had faced to accept cuts. Fcking hell. Is he for real? Talk about detached from reality. I cannot believe he had the gall to come out with that. Truly stunned. Not just by the ****ishness of what he said, stunned he hasn't been lynched already.
They could take their full salary, pay tax on it and then donate 30% of their monthly wage to charity. They could even tick the gift aid box.
At the end of the day they will be hero worshipped when it resumes ! The poor little mites will moan they are tired whilst """ NOT GIVING A FLYING BASTARD """ About the staff putting their existence on the line !
Looking forward to clubs offering live streams instead of ticket refunds too. I'll have the 90 quid thanks.
The greedy ****s should give up whatever % allows all staff at the club to be paid 100% without the need for government help and allows the club to survive. Then pay tax on their wages, then donate a % to the lower and non-league clubs to help survival and after that they can do their charity donations! Don’t just donate 20k to charity and expect the employees and clubs to suffer while you think you’ll get good publicity. Some absolute prick players, and clubs being total twats going along with it and furloughing staff.
They make an excellent point - therefore I suggest we announce a flat tax increase of 60% on all premier league footballers, so they can continue to contribute to the NHS. I find their patriotism inspiring actually, I am sure the PFA will have absolutely no objections with increasing their aid to the NHS. While we're at it, all those other toffs who are currently doing **** all for their decent wage packages can also pay more tax, since they're for sure on paid leave.
the government is making financial pledges up in the ****ing hundreds of billions, and the PFA wants SOMEONE else to make a £20 million pound donation.
They seem to think they can use the NHS as a shield to not get slagged off for being selfish ****s... it isn’t working. Except for Astro
What are the board members of Daniel Levy's company and Sports Direct doing right now? Surely they're not at work, and they're not on furlough. They can also take a massive tax increase, while we're at it, its times like these were left and right get thrown out the window, and the government's gotta get strict on these dodgers. The Tory Welshman has spoken, let it be done.
