Now that our last chance of silverware is gone, thoughts turn to what next for the Club. For me this has been one of the least enjoyable seasons since i started following the Blues 46 years go. That in itself says a lot, considering so many of those seasons were spent trying to stave off relegation. The person i feel sorry for now (in football terms of course) is Roman. After last season he would surely have thought everything is now in place, a fantastic team and a manager regarded as one of the best in the world, and that he could kick on with the plans for the stadium. After all he has invested, financially and emotionally, he now must be thinking of clear outs and a complete overhaul of the team by Conte. Let's hope he still has the enthusiasm to go again after all the shenanigans since that first game against Swansea. With a quarter of the season still to go, the only football related issue i feel enthused about now is the hope that Leicester complete the fairytale !

This season has been a joy compared to 2012/13

    Top post. I agree totally.
Leicester need 12 pts from their 8 games to clinch (+3pts from us).
This is still some daunting task.

I just wish City, Manures, Spuds & Goons - miss out on CL.
This is more probable compared to Leicester's run in.

I just hope both my wishes come true. Will feel like we won the league & CL <whistle>

I agree with most of this post, I do feel that Roman must shoulder some of the blame though. His commitment to Chelsea and the funding of the club cannot be questioned. However, the trigger happy firing of managers must be called into question. I feel that his biggest mistake was firing Ancelotti, as that was the big chance to have the long term manager and to build long term success. I mean, what did Carlo do that was so wrong? He won the double and then finished second. Ridiculous sacking. We really missed a trick there IMO.

    Sorry for Roman?

    What about Eva?

That's also the point when your season derailed. Your sexist coward manager tried to put all the blame on a medical professional and your club backed him 100% in doing so.

He was sexist unless he can prove otherwise. He wouldn't have acted and said the things he said if the doctor was a male especially one who is assertive or aggressive.

Yep, no argument with you there B.M. in relation to Ancelotti. To win the double is no mean feat. I thought myself personally that was a ridiculous decision. As regards Scolari and A.V.B. i agreed with both sackings. As for R.D.M. i loved and still do, the man to bits. An absolute Chelsea legend but if we were brutally honest, once he took the shackles off that team they went on autopilot and probably would have gone on to do what they did anyway. I don't mean that in a disrespectful way it's just my honest opinion.

Surely that would have nothing to do with a weight-challenged Iberian table stewart who has moved to the north east of England in the last few days CCFFP <laugh>. In fairness we did end up with a cup that season !

but he did, because one of the doctors...was a man! surprise surprise he still works at CFC..

also if eva was the cause of our downfall, why did we perform so badly pre season?

why did we draw the game eva got lambasted 2-2 with swansea?

why after she went and the manger changed has form not improved?

If we had kept RDM I don't think we would have won the league but we would have got top 4 and probably won Carling cup (Swansea semis, Bradford final) and an easy World club championship v weak Corinthians

Tbf that's nothing to brag about, the rise of the 3rd Reich compares favourably to the "bad old days" of chelsea.
