Read this from the BBC Football page: Port Vale manager Micky Adams has confirmed that Gary Roberts has been suspended for 14 days following a serious breach of club discipline. The 24-year-old midfielder failed to attend training on Sunday. The Valiants boss told BBC Radio Stoke: "He chose not to turn up or inform anyone he wasn't coming in, what's even worse is that he reported in unfit to carry out his duties on Monday." This is the 3rd time this player has been suspended by his employers in two years, having also been sacked by Rotherham in April 2010. He was suspended by Yeovil in 2009 for a breach of club rules and then sacked by Rotherham, now he also finds himself in trouble with Port Vale. The lad admits to having alcohol and gambling problems and was dumped by Crewe in 2008 for this reason. Bates will want him, he's cheap, probably free and unlikely to last more than a few weeks.
