I agree he was the best we've had but unfortunately contributed to his own downfall.

First half was okay today but Reading got stronger as the game went on. Ralls has gone backwards this season and both he and Morrison should have cleared the cross before it got to Kermorgant. Fred was dreadful. National League standard at best.

The cross should have been dealt with. Morrison takes the blame(once the cross has happened) for me though as once he gets that flick on it it's very difficult for Ralls to adjust. Thing is there should never have been a cross. The excellent Harris had already called to Manga that he needed support. Manga stood in space doing **** all. A guy in the stand behind me had time to shout 'you've got to go out Manga'. Nope he stood there allowed Reading an easy 2 on 1 and left Harris in an impossible situation. Harris spent the moments after the goal having a go at manga, whilst he shrugged. That's a converted winger telling a £5m centre back how to defend.
Manga is a liability who shouldn't be allowed anywhere near the first team. We should see if anyone wants him and tear up the contract to facilitate the move. At least we save the wages and he's going for free next year anyway.

Thing is I was totally ****ed off way before the goal. Away from home that performance might have been acceptable. At home it was a disgrace. 14000 odd have paid decent money to watch the home side and Trollope thinks standing there watching reading have uncontested possession is what we want to see. We played like they were barcalona. Standing there terrified to implement any sort of press. When we did press we went in 2's leaving huge gaps between the lines for them to play in. Thankfully Reading struggled to play a forward pass until he last 15 minutes meaning they didn't exploit how bad we were. A good aggressive attacking side could have destroyed us yesterday. There's no way I'll renew if we are subjected to this ****, bring back Slade!

Cmon Whiffle, you can't ignore that MM brought most of what happened on himself. And we can say what we want, since Tan we got promoted and then returned back to basically what we were before he came without talking about administration every week. So all in all, same ol same ol but slightly better.

It's like Swansea have had a good run. made some cash, but the owner is a plonker. Won't spend and now it looks like just a matter of time before their luck runs out. A shame. Owners tend to be plonkers.

Tan pulled us right out of the soft and smellies. And though he hasn't converted all his loans to equity, he has converted a big chunk so that we are much better off. Crazy owners abound but ours seems to be crazy enough to keep us out of the **** and we may not be looking premiership stuff again just yet, but I live in hope. And hope dies last!!!

Or even hope flickers eternal although, be fair, this is about as bad as we have looked in the last 10 years. Even OGS's sides made more chances.

Trouble now is I don't see Lafferty as the answer up front, even less so if signed on loan.

Lafferty will almost certainly be an improvement, however I agree he's not the proper answer to the problem.

We need some pace up front. Pilks, Immers and even Gong would all look much better with a quick strike partner. There's also the benefit that a quick striker would force teams to play a bit deeper against us giving others time and space. The amount of times we've tried and failed to get pilks to beat the offside trap shows teams don't see us as any sort of threat in behind. Makes us a very easy side to squeeze up the pitch and therefore very easy to defend against especially in a 3-5-2.

    It was.

We should have signed a kid with pace from the PL imo. Didn't have to be a world beater, just someone who could stop teams squeezing us as easily as they can at the moment.
