What a performance the lads put in. After rightly criticising them for their lack of spirit and for most of them being a bunch of mercenaries, today they played like they really cared. MH has also been on the receiving end of a lot of stick and today his game plan worked a treat, credit to him and his back room staff for that. Is the result tinged with disappointment because Wigan and Bolton won? Not for me, well maybe a touch, but Bolton and Wigan fans will be far more disappointed that we managed to beat Arsenal (7 wins in a row) on the day that they got positive results. After last week at Sunderland there was lot of doom and gloom about the place, the fact remains we're still in with a chance of staying up and even if we do go down there's every chance we'll come back up again better and stronger. If we keep this level of performance up until the end of the season it will go down to the last day of the season when we just need to make sure we're 3pts clear of Wigan and level with Blackburn in my opinion. Onwards and upwards, you Rssssssssssssssss
Hi Peruv. Great atmosphere too. Barton got a great welcome and so very nearly put away a great goal to endear him to the fans even more. A memorable day and a memorable 3rd win over a top six side. Hope the work is going well and regards to you know who!
Cheers RTID, I had to watch a recording as I was out for a 20k run earlier! I think you could have heard me at Loftus Road when Diakate's goal went in! Now if that ball had fallen to SWP (if he's been playing) .... lol! The guys are coming round for a barbq on Monday, it was great to see our mutual friend wielding a pick axe to good effect during the week!
When his goal went in, my view looked like it had hit the cross bar and come out. After our luck this year, I was waiting for the ref to not give it! Soon joined in the celebrations though. Can't beat a rocking Loftus Road! We should run together some time, though your oxygen carrying capacity is enhanced by altitude of course!
That would be great, can't wait to get to Loftus Road in the autumn of next year, whatever division we're in! Right, I'm going to watch the last 20 minutes of the game properly now, as I was so nervous I fast forwarded to the end after 70minutes!!!!
Great win by the lads today and against Liverpool. Performance and effort was excellent. Still feel its still to little to late and unless we can win at Old Trafford next week i stiil think expect we will be playing in the championship next season. I hope im proved wrong. Come on you Rrrrrs.
It's the games against Swansea, Stoke and at WBA where we really have to repeat today's performance, if we can I think we'll be fine!
Why assume that we can only beat the 'lower' teams? Surely today and the Liverpool result prove the opposite. Win all our home games and at Chelsea.
My voice is gone too! Great performance from everyone, including the crowd. (**** me though....Arsenal's support is ****e!! Only heard them when they scored...pathetic!!).
Evening all I think i will have to miss all the remaining games, been out all day, Mrs Tramore's birthday, only heard on radio that samba had put us 2-1 up, nerves can't take this anymore!!! Looking forward to MOTD. Up the R's
It's slowly getting formulated as I sit here with a celebratory Rioja mate!! I will leave it till tomorrow as is tradition, but I'm really looking forward to putting what I saw into words.
What I meant was we need to do as well against the lower teams as we're doing against the 'top' teams, you Rsssssssssss
