It was great that he got to come back for a second time and say goodbye to the fans, unlike first time round when he was ushered out of the back door and the fans weren't able to give him a proper send off due to his fractious relationship with the management at the time.
Robbie and Phil Thompson were on Sky Sports' Soccer Saturday show together a few times recently, they both reckoned there was never a mis-understanding. Robbie says it in the John Bishop interview too. Not sure I believe it like...
@Crazy Fowler was messing about in training and he kicked a ball towards one of the goals and it hit Thompson. They then had a scuffle and Fowler was then slowly forced out of the club. I do think it was deeper than that though. I think Thompson was rather envious of the admiration Fowler had from the stands and they weren't that happy with his lack of professionalism/fitness. And I think he is a little less angelic than portrayed by us LFC fans who only saw the teenager who loved football and Liverpool in him. The second part is just me speculating, so don't take my word for it
What a legend on the pitch in front of goal, every time he got to the ball in the box you would just be waiting for the net to bulge And agree with Skylarker good on Bishop what he has done for charity.
