No signs of any covers being put on the pitch, the club has a lot to answer for a complete shambles on, and of the pitch.

Says it all when the club cannot get the simple things right.

Feel sorry for the Watford fans, and ours that have had to travel from distance.

Covers wouldn't have made a blind bit of difference with the amount of rain in the last week, the ground is saturated so the water had nowhere to go and wouldn't have run off, same as all the areas that are flooding in the country...

Covers would have made a massive difference,if they had been laid earlier in the week, six inches of the ground to let it breath,so so simple.

Just because you never saw the covers don't mean they never had them there?

But just like Prem said they would not of made a difference it was the rain that came down an hour before kickoff, and I had covers on in the 20 minutes walking from the car I was soaked just got home now and had to take all my covers of as they were drenched through.

Was you actually there? Because I could see at 14:50 that the pitch was not going to be played on.

We are all pissed of but blaming the staff and club who tried to get this game on. Come on it ****ing hammered down, nothing was going to prevent that.

Yes 1-10pm to be exact, soaked through then, did not go up into the stand until 2:30pm,normally covers are left around the edge of pitch, did not see none,a lot more could have been done, yes that rain came down but that was more than 2 hours of rain on that pitch. If the pitch was dry the majority would have soaked away.

If you had covers on the pitch they would of had to been removed way before 2 hours and the amount of water on the covers would of been bastard heavy to remove them by hand. So you would of probably had a tractor to remove it.

Would you of preferred the game to go ahead with the pitch like that. I was up Sheffield 2 seasons ago when it rained like that during the game. Maynard went in for a challenge on the surface and could not pull out due to the surface got sent off. We could of either had a serious injury or players on bans.

Just around here the other day. The M48 was flooded. The A48 was flooded the only way for people to get from Newport to Chepstow was via Bristol. The ground at the moment just can't take much more water. We have tarmac breaking up causing potholes all over the area. We have not seen rain like this for as long as I can remember.

Radio Bristol summed it up well,at Ipswich the covers were on early in the week,to protect the pitch, the pitch apparantly was very good according to the commentator ,even with all the rain that had been around.
They were removed as late as possible, the rest they say is history.
He did question why more had not been done at AG to make sure the game went ahead.

I always thought Southmead was a blue area not red.

You meaders stick together, you will not change my mind regards the joke that unfolded today,my wife was born and bred in Southmead, and a lovely lady she is.

Lads lets try and keep calm <ok> We're all city fans and all entitled to our opinions, RR can put what ever he wants as can everyone else. No need to insult fellow fans though, even if we don't agree with there opinions

    Cheers <ok>

Move to the posh village of Portskewett ROD......we only have rain here after the last person has gone to bed, and then only gentle so as to not to wake us. Our cars are always de-frosted just before we leave for work by the ice patrol warden and we have wall to wall sunshine all summer!
