    ... from Benitez.

The following interview can be directly translated as,

"Please, please get me out of this Chinese hell hole and back to the PL where I can be near my family, bullshyte another group of supporters and make millions by producing mind numbingly boring football that I pass off as the product of a football genius. The fact I'm failing in China has absolutely nothing to do with this desperate plea to Norwich City."

He’s only interested in Benitez and the back pocket. The mags fell for it hook line and sinker as Bruce has got them playing better and higher in the table already

I tried to have a look at the Chinese Super League table on the BBC site to see what his goal difference was and they don't acknowledge it as a league in their records. High profile stuff Rafa.

I've never rated him as a manager. He's been one lucky bastard to have the career he's had. If you put Simon Grayson in charge of Real Madrid he'd have done as well as Benitez did probably better.

That's typical of him, wanting to come back just when the "if Rafa goes we go" brigade have receive their visa and are on the slow boat out there.

He ran off to China for the money despite all the offers he got from the Toon.

Called it at the time, that Brucey would be a better appointment for them.

There's no doubt he's a decent manager he sets his teams up well and every player knows their job
However his style of football is hard to watch and the mags went totally overboard when he was there to the point of embarrassing themselves with their idolisation of him
Part of me wants Bruce to do well just to watch the fans squirm

He's possibly read the tea leaves (chinese oolong of course), worked out roughly when SB will be shown the door, therefore instigating another outpouring of mania to get him back.

I think he will for a season and a half or so. Then it will go to **** the same as it's done everywhere else he's been.

Must admit, I never like seeing the mags do decent in the league, but I am getting a bit of enjoyment from seeing Bruce do better than the bloke they said was a miracle worker for keeping them in the division. Benitez has always been a self serving, money grabbing bloke, quite how they couldn't see it is baffling. First chance he got, having said the mags weren't the right "project" he goes to an absolute nothing league, but one that will pay him a fortune, what a shock

Surely Benitez was doing nothing more than what most football fans advocate as being normal i. e. if someone offers you a massive pay rise why would you refuse it?

I haven't criticised Benitez so not sure how that relates to my post tbh. I'm not criticising him, I'm criticising the fact that they a) seemed to think he was some ultra loyal servant to their club even though it was obvious he was staying because of the huge salary and would go as soon as he could get better and b) kept going on as if he was working miracles, when they've now got an absolute run of the mill, uninspiring manager who is doing just as well if not better
