Firstly, Leonardo, i was so close to that drink! Danny Graham the first two goals...if only Doyley had scored the third you'd owe me. Secondly...noone can doubt the dedication of fans, having spent nearly 40 minutes getting to junction 21a on the M25 and suddenly realising that i had ticket money, but not enough money for petrol, coz i didn't have much left in the tank, and having to go home again to get additional funds! lol....an hour later we were back at junction 21a and arrived at the ground and our seats with 3 minutes to spare before kick off! Phew! If anyone is in any doubt about the first goal, it was definitely DG's, as it went over the line before it was knocked out and Deeney made sure by shoving it back in again. Danny did sort of seem to indicate that he'd give the goal to Deeney, but the ref had already given it to DG. The other two goals were fab! Doyley's passing was up to it's usual standards, though he made some great tackles, and Martin Taylor had his work cut out tonight. Cowie and Mariappa had a great game but we didn't play our best football...some of the passing was shocking, and there was no width at all. All in all though, a deserved win, and worth the hassle of the journey!
Fabulous evening last night on Ak`s debut match thread here! Could this be the turning point of the horns promotion push ,and accelerate the rate that our 606 friends rejoin us
I'll be here on Saturday then Norway, for the 'boro match thread! ... We'll keep our fingers crossed, eh? Either way, we can be very proud of our boys and Malky this season
yep they have exceeded all expectations this season ! Will be here on saturday what price another 3-0 to the goden boys
Barraclough - had less than 6 months - are Scunthorpe such a big club that relegation from the Championship is so unacceptable that they cannot stay with a manager for longer than that?
Hornette you and Ak should do a before and after thing. Match thread from Ak and eye witness report from you.
If i went to more away games Brag, i'd love to! Sadly, i go to very few, much as i'd love to..as Mr Hornette isn't too thrilled at the prospect of me disappearing every saturday. We are soooo role reversed! lol.
Did you miss something out of that sentence? Like "....... to watch sweaty, muscly fit young men running around in shorts........"
lol...if only that was his excuse...it's something to do with chores apparently! Though naturally the fit young men thing is a bonus ...i still remember Ryan Giggs' legs at the corner flag...yum! lol
One of my daughters never got the idea of supporting a football team When asked who she supported she said Newcastle. Newcastle? Well apparently David Ginola was sooo sexy. A couple of years later commenting on her support I asked if she was now Spurs as he had gone there but apparently that was silly of me as Michael Owen was now the sexy one
