Now THAT'S what I want to see in the Amber and Black; a proper Centre Forward!!

Anyone remember a certain Christopher Chilton?? Memories!

Fryatt and McLean scored good goals today too.

I'm not even sure. I just think that since they get criticised for doing everything but scoring, they should get some credit when they do score.

They deserve credit but comparing their goals to that of Holt is like comparing a Brabant to a Bentley.

No comparison involved. Just that we aren't that badly off for strikers. If someone like Holt becomes available to us then we should get them asap but if it's not possible I don't see a problem with what we have got.

What a fukin header. I was looking at Holt the other day. He asnt been getting a game, only sub appearances. He is out of contract July 12, with another year optional. Probably wont get hm but in January him or someone like him is needed.
Even Iwelumo would be good for us. The amount of pressure he takes off his side is brilliant, with the ball he lays back for the midfield, our midfield would be even stronger and would be heaping pressure on the opposition. Second half he wasnt even heading it, just chesting it back to the midfield.

Both Fryatt and Mclean were terrible yesterday, yet both scored!! How weird is football.

Holt has been vastly under-rated by many opposing fans over the last few seasons based mainly on the fact he came back from league 2 football before his career started to blossom after a bad spell with Forest.

The guy has been immense for Norwich and he is rightly idolized by many of the Canary following but at the same time we remain realistic about him and what he might be capable of this season. He has shown, against Chelsea & Liverpool, that he still has goals in him even at this level but he is unlikely to start many games in the foreseeable future. He will be more of an impact substitute as and when he is needed to try and change what is happening on the pitch and is highly unlikely to be released in January.

Beyond this season it is hard to say what will happen. If we come back down I guess he will stay with us and hopefully score 20+ goals to get us back up to the PL. If we survive this season, I would guess there is a chance Norwich 'might' let him go but again it's all if's and but's, if he scores 10+ goals this season we might try to hang on to him for a few more years.

Either way, in the right team he is an incredible asset <ok>

great to see a guy battling his way up from the lower leagues, i like holt as he won me a few bets last season..had him in my fantasy team at the start of the season as a cheap forward, dropped him just before he started scoring tho, which sums it up <laugh>

Was a good goal, the commentators were making a meal of how £30million striker Andy Carroll missed a similar chance to a player worth far less than him!

And thats exactly what I've been saying we need for ages, a strong, tall centre forward who can find the back of the net with his HEAD and use his stature to hold the ball up.

It was a good goal and he'd definitely be a great addition, though as he's still getting games(even if it is off the bench), then they've got little reason to get rid.

I can't believe we took Adebola when we could have had Iwelumo, neither carried a fee, Iwelumo is a few years younger, far stronger, has a better goal scoring record and is definitely a more handy player all round. I can't see that Watford would be offering bigger wages than us, so I can't see any reason why we went with option B.
