A well deserve point, either side could have won that.

Good subs for the most part, IMO.

Cisse came on to bring a bit extra energy, Tiote helped solidify the middle of the park and United struggled to find a way through. Thauvin looked promising going forward in sparks, almost grabbed an amazing last minute winner.

We looked shakey at times down the right but that was due to a make shift RB in mbeba who gained confidence towards the end of the game.

    Ratings -

Krul - 9 - Some fantastic saves, and a spark of the old Krul we used to see.

Haidara - 7 - Reasonably solid most of the time, some good runs going forward, poor crossing though.

Colo - 9 - Apart from one **** clearance towards the end, he was excellent for us. Great tackles, and a spark of the old Coloccini.

Saylor - 8 - Solid performance despite, arguably, ****ing up the offside trap and letting Rooney in for a goal that could easily have been given.

Mbeba - 8 - Shakey at the beginning, but great resilience later in the game, and some good surging energy going forward and almost a fantastic assist.

Anita - 8.5 - Some excellent pressure and interceptions from the lad.

Colback - 7 - Hard working, but looked a bit weak on the ball at times. Solid enough defensively.

Obertan - 6 - Worked hard but smothered by Shaw.

Perez - 8.5 - Cracking runs from deep down the middle. He made a real difference today, he gave us a surge of pace and flair down the middle, almost had a goal.

Wijnal - 8 - Great work rate, some good play. I'd have like to have seen him make more runs into the box though.

Mitrovic - 8 - Unlucky not to have scored. Still getting used to the league, but worked very hard, very determined, caused some problems with his presence.

Tiote - 7 - Good defensive work to close up the game.

Thauvin - 8 - Great impact, unlucky not to have scored.

Cisse - n/a - Good late match energy. Might have done better towards the end.

MOTM - I'm giving it to Krul. Great saves to keep us in the game.

Beginning to see that Haidara is our scape goat - he wasn't our worst defender on the pitch! I would have given Mbemba a 6, Saylor a 7, Haidara a 7 and Colo an 8

Before that match although I was expecting us to get tonked I was thinking "we've got a pretty good bench there" - Cisse, Tiote, Thauvin, Aarons, De Jong (plus GK and lets not mention Williamson). It does highlight our weakness in depth though, one suspension and Williamson is our only defender as backup.

Obertan is a terrible player I've seen enough if him and colback is also not a premiership player.

Well earned point lads can't argue that, you wanted it way more than us.

Wijnaldum is a different class to anything you've had in midfield for years.

Good luck for the rest of the season <ok>

Lost all credibility with me with that comment. Wasn't brilliant but played his position.

I suppose if you have to slate someone you might as well pick him but he didn't have a bad game. Certainly wasn't a zero or even a 5

It's easy to look at players like Haidara and Obertan and see them through a pre-conceived impression of them. I though both were decent today, Haidara probably more so.

I thought everyone played at least ok today.

Fred he was absolutely terrible everytime he touched the ball he did nothing.

Also please note i don't require credibility especially from you.

He was our worst player usually is and ive now seen enough.

    A serious score of 4

Probably was the worst player given that everyone did well.

Given that after that performance the only comment you can make is to find someone to slate, it's just as well you don't care about my opinion.

Who did BT give man of the match to, was it Coloccini?

Krul did well but his distribution is terrible.

Coloccini for me, Blind was our best player.

Fred, fred oh fred I'm not going to day it was a wonderful display because it wasn't.

I think is was a workman like performance and that earns respect and something we do haven't had ever in my opinion so its nice to see.

As far as Obertan is concerned go back and watch the game he was terrible and actually did more for man united than for Newcastle.

I think some of the marks are a touch generous. Haidara was a 6. The kid got better as the game wore on but he is ****e. Colback was a 5, looked a complete liability with the ball today. Anita for me was a 7 after a terrible start. Obertan was a 5, McClaren wants to stop with that love in.

I couldn't separate Colo, Taylor and Krul. Those 3 were superb. I also thought Gini was top top class.

Mitro for me looks a superb purchase. All round game, his hold up play could be massive for us. Get Aarons slinging crosses in and we'll be a handful.

I have to say the defence was flattered by Man U's lack of pace and/or power up top. They also seem a bit unadventurous and lack penetration. Game was crying out for Youngs direct play or Herreras guile. Strange from Van Gaal.

Obviously a terrific point but I'd hesitate to get carried away, we've seen this before, only to later return to bad habits. I still think Colo is a pussy, I still think Saylor will soon be injured, I still think Haidara is ****e. And of course we still clearly need a centre back and left back. In a very very small way I rue this result because McClaren may kid himself about our defensive quality.

    Gotta be happy today though.

A good result and performance. Can't really fault any player. However, Man Utd attacking play was of the kind that Colo likes the best - patient build up, not too high a tempo and no real power or aerial threat. It really played to his strengths, giving him time to read the game and react, and allowing him to keep his composure.

A team which attacks at pace or has someone to attack high balls would unfortunately have likely resulted in a far different outcome.

I think Haidara did well today. More than happy with his performance.

Colback had not his best game but I think that despite that him, Gini and Anita did well together once they managed to get a grip after the opening 15. They worked for that.

Obertan kind of tried to get involved but was largely ineffective.

Really happy with Perez. He needs to start for me. Great all round play from him.

Drooling at Mitrovic like, he looks like he is gonna be ****ing mint. Holds the ball up really well and has good distribution when there are options on offer for him. I thought he was excellent today. Thauvin down the right and Aarons down the left whipping crosses in for him is the way to go I reckon.
