If you look up Emmanuel Adebayor on Wikipedia (although I suppose it'll be removed soon) some wag has put this entry:

"Adebayor went on a season-long-loan to Leicester City on 28th July 2011. The Football League was so gobsmacked by Leicester's brilliant squad that they awarded them the title on the same day, 2 weeks before the season was due to start. Unsurprisingly, no opposition managers complained as they were spared the humiliation of being thrashed home and away by a team managed by someone who looks like Mr Burns."

Made me chuckle anyway.
