Oi! Less of that young man (apologies if you are a lady). They're my 2nd team. I live within ear shot of upton park too so pretty great day. Didn't hear much from the ground last night though
Where do I start here! ...female?...err, I don't think so mate! Young man?...if only!, mid forties. As for the confusion of loyalty over 2 teams...unfortunate, but you'll just have to suffer our ridicule of the noisy (but useless) neighbours!
Tricky as I heard it on the radio, but this seems to be based on the same interview. He said it was "odds on" that West Ham would not take over the OS. http://www.sportinglife.com/london2...s/11/08/24/SPORT_Olympics_Hearn.html&BID=6932
Cheers bud. Nice that it was on the radio as it means he actually said it rather than it being some sort of word-twisting ****e printed by the daily mail.
I believe he has much less of a concern over Spurs as he knows we would fill the stadium. His main worry is that wet spam can't even fill upton park so when they move to the OS they will be giving away massively reduced and free tickets in order to fill the place. That will of course impact Orient's gate receipts.
You would have heard the boo's at the end, terrible performance and result. Lets hope we look back at the end of the season and glad we didn't have the distraction 20,000 for a Mickey Mouse Cup tie while in the 2nd tier against a 4th tier team, staggering, some could only dream.
All Barry Hearn is worried about is $$$$$$$$$ Wasn't interested in the OS or anything about it for years. Seriously, when you have 4,000 a week, which must be die hards, how many will you lose? half of f*** all, is still f*** all.
How would you feel if a bigger club than you were to move onto your doorstep? He's understandably concerned. You shouldn't call the League Cup a Mickey Mouse tournament, either. You're not in any position to mock any piece of silverware.
Confusion over loyalty? Wtf? Can't remember spurs ever playing aldershot competitively. But if it did happen I would support spurs. Easy.
There's been a bit of a misunderstanding. He isn't called notsosmartspur for a joke, you know. He thought you were a Spammers fan.
