They look to be forming a formidable squad. They have alou diarra now and if they get Carroll I think he will do well with them fitting in with their new style under Sam. This may be a stupid question but does however anyone know how all this money has come or was it always at their disposal? Do you think they can do a Newcastle at this rate?

That's going to be a tough game. Especially, at Upton Park, it's a tight little ground and Fat Sam will up to his normal tactics against us. Not looking forward to that game. As for if they can do a Newcastle, no, they just do not have as many talented players as Newcastle had last season. HBA,Cabaye,Krul,Titoe,Ba,Coloccini, and Cisse are clearly top 6 level players for me.

Not to the same magnitude definitely but I'm thinking top ten is achievable.

Imagine the entertaining game that will be on display when they play stoke, I wonder what the odds would be on the ball never touching the ground during the 90 min period.

I have to admit, I've got a soft spot for West Ham. Ever since I used to go and watch them with my Hammers mates if Arsenal were away and I couldn't go - or from skiving off college in Newham to go and watch the reserves. Plus they ****ing hate the Spuds, so for that alone they get some respect <ok>

Shame Fat Sam is there though, that sort of tarnishes it a bit <laugh>

In fairness, the Hammers fans I've spoken to can't stand Fat Sam. What really interests me is where the hell have they got all this money from? They spend £5 million on agents last year alone, according to the Beeb.

Spammers have a decent mid and strikers I've never heard of but their defence is shocking
