West Ham v Swansea City Barclays Premier League Date - Saturday 30 September 2017 Kick off - 15:00 Venue - Olympic Stadium, London After a hugely disappointing home performance against Watford which saw the Swans slip to a third consecutive home League defeat - making it 0 pts out of 9 pts at home at the start of the season - Paul Clement's Swansea team's next match is away to West Ham at the Olympic Stadium. Swans' fans will be hoping that Clement quickly learns lessons from the Watford match, and in particular from the first 45 minutes which were terrible from the Swans' perspective. On the same day that the Swans were losing to Watford, West Ham also lost at home in a London derby against Spurs. At one stage, Slaven Bilic's men were 0-3 down but showed great spirit in battling back before eventually going down 2-3. Swansea and West Ham have played each other on 61 occasions, with the Swans winning 18, West Ham 28 and 15 drawn. In the corresponding fixture last season, West Ham ran out 1-0 winners thanks to a 44th minute winner from Cheikou Kouyate. Looking ahead to next Saturday, although West Ham sit 4 places behind Swansea in the table, just the 1 point separates the teams. My head says that the combination of home advantage and needing a victory for their under pressure Manager, will spur West Ham on to a comfortable 2-0 victory. My heart on the other hand says that Paul Clement will continue starting with 3 CBs and Swansea's negative defensive tactics will enable them to grind out another 0-0.
I've already bought my tickets and am ready my second trip to London this month.....but after the shi.te we witnessed today I'm considering an afternoon in a great London pub instead
there's the obvious Andre Ayew goal to factor aswell as a possible Carroll one, think we may go down 2-0.
We can pick whoever it wont matter as we wont have a game plan anyway......If you want a home banker with fair odds then this is a must on your football coupon...
Going to try this again . ................................................................................................................Fab .........................................................Fernandez ....................................VDH .........................................Mawson ..........................Mesa ............................................................................Fer ....................................................................................Britton ............Ayew ...........................................................................................Sanchez ..............................................................................................Clucas ...........................................................................................................Bony /Abraham . LB and RB are very important to the 5 man defence and we are weak at a very important place on both sides . eliminate them and keep Mesa and Britton tucked off the wings . Were heavy on midfielders , lets use them . Fer brings strength to the middle DM. Just an idea .
Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit but I like it. Think we'll stick with 5-3-2 but hope Mesa is our DM.
"West Ham v Swansea West Ham did well to get back into the game in their 3-2 defeat by Tottenham last week, but the scoreline probably flattered the Hammers a bit. Swansea also lost, at home to Watford, and I am a bit worried about them. The Swans look flat going forward, and Renato Sanches has not supplied the spark people expected. On top of that, they have been poor at the back too. Lawro's prediction: 2-0"
