http://www.hullcitytigers.com/news/article/201314-west-ham-a-tickets-revised-1398249.aspx Season Card holders can now apply for tickets for our Barclays Premier League away game against West Ham United. The Tigersâ rearranged trip to West Ham comes on Wednesday 26th March (KO 7.45pm) with tickets priced as follows: £42 Adults £24 Seniors (over 65) £1 Under 16s 42 ****ing quid on a Wensdee night.
No chance. Be nice if there was an away following of approximately zero. Sadly won't happen as there's a sizeable southern supporters contingent for whom this is a great chance to see the tigers in the premier league. Not that I blame them one bit.
Not only that, but the full price for a day over 16 is daft. So if I took my 17-year-old -- who clearly can't afford that on his own -- it would cost me £84 just for tickets. No thanks. Compared to £20 for the two for Southend which was a great day out.
It looks even more ridiculous if we beat Sunderland this weekend. If people are going to spend a decent bit of cash on a ticket, they'll save it for Wembley rather than the Boleyn.
Very true. Plus we have another away game @ Stoke City 3 days later on the 29th which is closer and cheaper.
Got to be the least appealling away day all season after Palace anyway, pipping Stoke on account of it being a Wednesday night.
City would get a lot of respect if they charged every club exactly the same as they charge us! Tit for tat! And all that.
To be fair I'll be in the UK and in London on the 26th. I'll happily pay what ever it costs me, but then to put it into perspective, I get to about 5-8 games per season so it's not at all the same as for a season ticket holder.
Scandalous price. So including travel from Hull you are looking at the thick end of a hundred notes which doesn't take into account any time and lost wages from work. And for that WHU squeeze the away fans into a corner of the ground with the worst view.
City would get a lot of grief rom the football authorities. Do you have any idea regarding the regulations about the price of tickets?
If people are daft enough to pay £42 then clubs will continue to charge high prices. The average annual salary is £26500 / 52 weeks / 37.5 hours a week = £13.59 per hour less tax + ni = say £10 ph So, based on that figure a game lasting 1.5 hours equates to about £15 (£10 x 1.5 hrs) So, West Ham are charging approx 4.5 times the average hourly take home pay to watch a match. When will people wise up. Obviously, if you are a higher earner then the above numbers will mean f**k all to you. It was £30 to watch the Newcastle match which is scandalous. There is no wonder people are falling out of love with the game. I cant afford to go to the games this season and I really miss them. But, on saying that I am not getting fleeced and my anger towards Allam Is lessened due to me not lining his pockets. I watch every game on my TV streamed through the internet. I still want City to get to Wembley even though I wouldnt be able to afford to go and besides I don't deserve a ticket in favour of season passholders. COYH
