We're not "mighty" and we're certainly not "juggernauts". We're cooler than that. We're more like an E-type Jaguar. Classy, understated and yet we know our limits. We are looking seriously good this season and yet we won't get carried away like fans of some other clubs would. We won't finish in the top 4 or top 6. Quite probably not even in the top 8. But we are making steady progress and going in the right direction. New stadium, exciting young squad and the coolest dude around as manager. Life is good as a West Ham fan right now. COYI.
Exactly Lee. We know our level. We don't need to pretend to be as good as, or better than anyone else.
I don't get it. I thought that once you had beaten someone away from home you had to statistically prove on internet forums that you are: A. "A big club" & B. About to break into the top five?
I applaud Tricky for his brave post! It takes a big man to state, openly and with force that his club (in this case, the Spanners) is not as big as the mighty Spurs, and that there isn't (and probably never will be, I am sure that Tricky will admit) any kind of power-shift going on (unlike the Power-Shift that some - but not me - are suggesting is currently happening in North London). I am sure that a lot of you Spanners will be extremely weary of "giving it large" after you made fools of yourselves last season, to such an extent that one of you was forced to write that humiliating thread "Is The Dream Over?" on your board, which attracted so much ridicule, at the time. It is heartening to see that lessons have been learned, and that we can all move on from this. 8th would be a good result for you Spanners, and I do think that you have a good chance of achieving it.
It is always pleasure to read your posts H. And for so many different reasons. I am extremely wary of appearing weary, or of being passive aggresive. I mean who in their right mind would't admit that their club isn't as big as the mighty Spurs? So instead of recognising Trick as a big man, on this occasion I say we spotlight someone who all too often hides their light under a bushell. I say step forward HIAG and accept that you are truly a big man for allowing us to recognise Tottenham's bigness. Right back at you buddy. When it comes to bigness you really couldn't be following a better club. A match made in heaven some may say. I prefer Complete Package.
I see West Ham the new top top team of London. Congrats to them. Watch out for the Chavbus, they need to cheat to win now, stay cool and you will win
He was the half-cousin of Glenn Rhoeder, the unseen, but all-powerful brains behind Rhoeder. Unfortunately for Glenn, Rhoder was an evil clown, who believed that what football needed was more slap-stick and less goals. I hope that that clarifies matters.

You know what would be utterly un-cool? A Spurs fan who knows how to spell the surname of one of the Spanners' worst managers in its history!
