seems our southern rivals are now in for Mackail Smith, given the investment they have already made in bringing in other players including Kevin Nolan etc, it amazes me that at the end of last season they were claiming they were in sh1t street financially, all of a sudden they seem to have money to spend, they do seem to be making one or two very good signings though, and as it stands seem to be the most active club in the market for decent players.
It's not like they will be spending silly money like before. They just want to pay how much it takes to have a good chance of getting promoted.
If they don't sort it out this season then we might see a bankrupt club moving into the Olympic Stadium (might as well let Leyton Orient have it instead!)
Mackail-Smith and Nolan are great signings, but it wouldn't surprise me if CMS ended up at Celtic or someone like that.
CMS is a replacement for Cole, Nolan is a replacement for Parker, they're good signings but they're being signed to replace better outgoings. They'll have the best squad in the league, but it won't be as good as the one that was relegated.
