Allardyce has enough experience to get West Ham back into the top tier if he's given enough backing to do so from the porn merchants.

I have to agree. Chris H would have been a better choice in my opinion and proven at that level. I see this a fat sam trying to repair his reputation by trying to get West Ham back to the prem in one season but I can see it going horribly wrong.

Good team, just really sh!t choice of manager.

I don't think SA will do that bad a job, I just think that it will take some years before they come back up. Same with boro, in about 3 years time they will come back up I reckon.

Funny same thing WAS said about us.

SA not a favourite and for WHU fans he will have to change his style of football.

I dont see them going into League 1 but I dont see them coming straight back up

I think he COULD bring them straight back up depending on signings, it's whether or not WH fans will want to watch that dross week in week out.

The West Ham fans will soon take to Allardyce when he starts blowing bubbles with his chewing gum.

It will be interesting to see if the 'lump it to the big man' tactic will work as well against Championship teams who have more physical defenders than the 'continental' ones in the prem

Although his football was cack to watch, I think it's a good move for West Ham to get straight back up.

This, I think the style of football the world know he plays but which he denies, will work at that level, as long as he has the right players (unlike his time at Newcastle). I'm sure the Hammers fans will not mind the stiff necks and extra sleep for a season as long as they get back to the Prem?

It will depend on how many players they can keep (Parker, Noble, Ba etc.) as to whether they come back up.

  12. He'll introduce his target man, **** style of football.

He'll probably buy someone like Zigic and put him up top by himself in a 4-5-1, and pelt long balls up to him.

    Hammerhead

    From NUFC.com

    "Another two bob manager"
    (West Ham fan, Sky Sports,Wednesday)

The reason for West Ham's move to the Olympic Stadium became clear on Wednesday, as they confirmed the appointment of Sam Allardyce as their new manager.

Presumably the extra capacity at Stratford will be filled by legions of backroom staff, while the wide open spaces of the stadium should just about accommodate his head....

Former Magpie Neil McDonald will follow Allardyce down Green Street, having opted not to accept the position of Bury's new boss.

PS: speaking of cheats prospering, that twisty-faced former England striker who was once on our books has signed up for another season at Old Trafford.

I don't think they'll come straight back up. Once their better players have gone (most of whom aren't that good) they'll be left with a very small and average squad and it doesn't sound like there's much money to spend at West Ham.

I hope they do purely because sam allardyce is now in charge, however realisitcally it would be a nightmare for West ham if he doesnt get them in atleast the playoffs within 2 seasons, so league 1 seems unlikey...

I reckon Blackpool may finish above them however if Holloway stays in charge!
