Thoughts? Let him go for 4m imo, going to become too disruptive and fingers crossed West Ham will be in a relegation dog fight next season with 'Big' Sam at the helm.
I've said it before, but I'll be amazed if he doesn't end up at Sunderland, that move makes perfect sense. It's not far from Carlisle where he's always driving backwards and forwards from, he'd absolutely love to play under Martin O'Neill who in turn would love to have Holty in his team/dressing room. He's exactly O'Neill's type of player, Bendtner's loan has ended and I can't see them paying the £10m or whatever Arsenal would want for him so if he could sign Holty for half than - and more imprtantly on half his wages, then it would be an absolute winner for all parties concerned
And just to add, and as much as it pains me to say it, I can see him going on to become a legend up there for the three or so years he's got left at tthis level, possibly even one or two more.
So two bids were lodged, nowhere near £4m though... http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwic...t_ham_for_holt_but_nothing_near_4m_1_1398341? I personally don't think we should accept less than £5m
considering that 10 goals may keep a side in the league.... erm squeeze as much cash out of them as possible!
I would go further and say that unless we get £5million he stays. The consequences of this will be far graver for the player than for us.At 31 and with a two year contract Holt won't be a regular Premiership player after his contract expires so he has these options: 1 He plays to his full potential for us 2.He plays half assed in which case he has two years in the reserves. It would be a loss to us but a bigger one to him.I'm sure McNally doesn't need me to tell him how to play hard ball and this will already have been explained to Holt and his agent.
Apparently Wet Sham have been told they can have him for £6M http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/football-spy-west-ham-face-861680
as much as mcnally has been saying no players are for sale, i think we all know deep down that a figure near £6m would get holt off our hands. it would give us the kind of money required to replace him properly with the 'next' holt
My Holt clone should be ready by then, the previous one had a massive head and small body a bit like My Mackie from Southpark, the next batch should be better
There will be a few in for holt, hold your guns and if west ham have competition they will up the ante no doubt, its too early now to sell him now, and your players will not be back for another month so disruption will be minimal at the moment,
We have to think how much it'll cost to replace him. I think we can probably replace 15 goals for 6-7 million. I think if we do get rid of Holt we should look at Rhodes and that abdelloue who looked pretty sharp against England for Norway.
An unhappy player has to be sold. - £5m minimum but could be more, let his ego go but hanks all the same Grant while it lasted.
Well, according to one of the night crew at my place of work the following are DEFINITELY going to happen 1. Steve Bruce will be Norwich manager by the end of the week 2. Johnny Howson will follow Lambert to Villa for between a million 3. Pilks is off to Spurs but the best of the lot is he says he's heard from a reliable source that Holt will follow Lambert to Villa, fair enough that one has been doing the rounds, but he's added his own twist, that twist being he'll be gone by the end of the week and Villa will fork out 19 million for him!
