Why no punishment for Ismael? He started it! I see that Cardiff are going to appeal Flint’s sending off which is good. No news yet on the ref and lino’s appointments at Specsavers!

I think you're getting confused with Mitch Mitchell trying to see past Noel Redding.

Ismael was lucky that our Collins and their Livermore stopped him confronting the officials otherwise he certainly would be.

He headed back down the tunnel before he could do any damage but could still be reported for his aggression.

I don't really get it. His argument would have been with the officials over the decision not the players. He knew what he was doing though. You'll never see a player trying to wrestle the ref or a lino to the floor because they know the consequences. They take the frustration out on opposition players because they're not daft enough to thump a ref.

I watched it live and Johnstone steamed in on the City squad. Flinty blocked him to avoid real trouble and got a red card for doing so. Good decision to overturn Flint's red card and absolutely correct to uphold Johnstone's for his instigation of the melee.

About time we had some positive news. <ok>

Wouldn't be surprised if Morrison gets a start v Preston with Flint having a rest.

Overall will Morison pick his best 11 or close to it? We usually put out an 80% reserve side in the third round.

Centre-back Aden Flint has avoided a three-match ban after Cardiff City won their appeal against his sending off at West Bromwich Albion.

Flint, 32, was dismissed after the final whistle last Sunday following a clash between players from both sides.

Albion goalkeeper Sam Johnstone also saw red in the post-match melee.

The Football Association says an independent regulatory commission upheld Cardiff's claim of wrongful dismissal.

Flint had originally been deemed guilty of violent conduct by referee Thomas Bramall, whose decision not to award West Brom a last-minute penalty appeared to spark the confrontation at full time, with Baggies boss Valerien Ismael showing his frustration on the pitch.

The game ended in a 1-1 draw, with West Brom also losing midfielder Alex Mowatt to a 76th-minute red card for a foul on Will Vaulks.

Mowatt and Johnstone are both facing three-match bans.
