West Brom Offer S.Cox or C.Wood For Nicky Maynard

According to the Mirror,West Brom boss Roy Hodgson wants to use a swap deal to bring want a way Bristol city striker to the hawthorns, he has give Derek McInnes a choice between 2 strikers, Simon Cox or Chris Wood.

crossed over with my similar post though my information came from the Birmingham Post and didn't mention the players.

Take Simon Cox absolutely. An international with a bright future and still only young.
Woods has scored more goals in the Championship for Birmingham this year than Maynard.

I would take either based on their acheivements to date - could be very exciting

 

Both very good players, either would link well with Pitman IMO.

we know all about Simon cox from his days at Swindon where he did very well, but he hasn't quite cemented a place in west broms premiership team, as for wood, hes currently at Birmingham and got 11 goals for them this season so we would know he could score in this league for us

so if we could get either i would be more than happy

 

Stright swop - Maynard and Hunt for Cox and Wood, and we will consider handing over Junior as the sweetner for the deal if needed.

Come on Roy, make it happen.

I would take either. Cox would probably be a slightly better bet simply due to his age.

 

We should do everything in our powers to keep Nicky Maynard, now if that happened I would be excited!!

I have a feeling Maynard might be with us next season. Bloody hope so and with DM's new recruits this summer - Perfik !

Because let nobody on here think Cox, Wood etc are better than Maynard - especially come August in DM's reshaped squad.

 

tbh i would love it if maynard signed, but i would feel if he signed for us now it would be because he had to rather than he wanted to

 

Sell Sell Sell!!!! Chris Woods has looked a great finisher over the last few seasons and is the type of player i could see fitting in and doing well for us.

If we could get a second player I would try to also get Joe Mattock who is an England u21 left back as we could do with someone in that postition given that Man city have refused to sell McGivern who DM wanted to buy.

 

Give me Nicky Maynard anytime, if DM could get him to sign it would be great for Bristol City Football Club.

some inside knowledge, however the bid apparently wasn't very high so it might be a case of testing the water to see if Man City will sell

 

so we've put a bid in, wouldnt mind seeing him sign, also george ekiobi from wolves is up for grabs, wouldnt mid him at cb hes a beast, perhaps even a swap with maynard plus money
