Concessions? What are those? What a super initiative! Also their attendances are holding up. Given The Fail stand accused by our owners of undermining our attendances, can someone put Phil in touch with The Express & Star?
The attendances are in part the fault of the HDM, as they publish the figure that the club gives them. They should endeavour to publish the true, and far lower, figure. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Surely its easier to count the stands at The KCOM that remain open? Its all irrelevant given the nonsense City publish!
I keep track of the average away match prices for City. This season (2018/19) the average cost for an adult attending every away match has increased by 2%, from £26.04 to £26.57. In sadder news the failing national concessions model has continued to deliver unacceptably cheap prices to younger and older City fans. The average cost of taking a 14 year old to all 23 away fixtures was £11.61 this season, a 2% reduction on last season. That falls to £8.70 per match for a youngster 10 years or under. The average cost for someone 65 or older was £18.61. The highest adult price this season was £39 (at Sheffield Wednesday and Leeds) and the cheapest was £20 (at Wigan, Birmingham and West Bromwich). The widest gaps between high and low are seen for young adults. A 16 year old will pay £30 at Swansea in a fortnight’s time, but only £6 at Brentford. A 21 year old paid £39 at Sheffield Wednesday, but only £11 at Blackburn. A dad and his 14 year old daughter would have paid £878 this season, £38.17 per game. The cheapest membership at City this season is £21 per person, which equates to a season cost of £504 for the same dad and daughter. That goes up to £936 if you sit in East or West stands.
Attendances are low enough for someone to actually report them by counting people in after 20 mins Seriously
Interesting post. Shocked at Swansea price. Last point about East and West is for the middle not the sides, I assume.
