Wes Morgan and David Nugent have both said in the last few days they want new deals sorted before January. Wes I would give him a new deal straight away as he is Mr. Consistency, a new contract is a reward for his performances since we signed him.

David Nugent I would let run for a few more weeks as his recent form has been a little indifferent he can use this as motivation to earn a new deal and stay at the club. Its great they both want new deals aswell as im sure Lloyd Dyer will want a new one asap as he has said he sees this as "his" club now

Kasper wont be in any rush as Prem football is the priority for him from next season and no one can blame him. I think he will happily sign aslong as we get promoted

I thought Wes was over 30.

He's a bit ****ing good, hopefully he can push on and be to us what Ashley Williams is to Swansea.

    Hope this doesn't get silly.

Give him a bloody contract before things go wrong.

Is Wes a premier league centre back? Is Nugent a premier league striker? I can understand the club holding back to be honest.

Wes would still be first choice in the prem and Nugent would still have a role here in the prem

Hmmm. Lots of players nearly out of contract. Lots of players playing out of their skins. Coincidence?

Wes and Kasper have been superb since we signed them a very consistent so regardless I would give them new deals ASAP.

Lloyd Dyer and David Nugent I would give them new deals but let them keep turning in the performances for a few more weeks yet.

But I doubt Nigel can offer contract beyond the end of this season as his contract is up then. Before any players sign new deals surely we need to get Nigel on a new contract. Last time we dragged out him signing a new contract look what happened.

Some players need the security of their long term future being sorted to get the best out of them while others need to prove themselves to get a new one.

We dont want to give players who are performing long term deals and then get lumbered with them like we did we Paul Gallagher and Richie Wellens.

I think it would be best all round if we tried to get Wes, Kasper, Nugent and Dyer on 1 year extensions of their current deals and then sit down in the summer when we know what division we will be in. If we dont get promoted just sell them on

Its very dangerous letting their contract run into their last 6 months Kasper especially as foreign clubs can get them into pre contracts for when their deals run out
