Chris Goreham has just announced on BBC Radio Norfolk that Wes will leave the club at the end of the season with the Leeds match next week being his last.

Sad to see him leave but understandable, really.
Good luck in whatever the future heralds, maestro. <ok>

Wouldn't be at all surprised if Alex Tettey is close behind him.

Sad to see him go, he has been a great player for the club over many seasons. But given how little game time he has seen this season it comes as no real surprise. It's going to be a funny old squad rebuild from last summer. From the embarassment of riches of having; Pritchard, Wes and Madders as options in the number 10 role, we will likely have none. With our lack of general creativity, I can only hope that we either get a dynamite replacement or that the system actually starts to function better with a different style of player in there.

    Bah!

So the club have confirmed there'll be some kind of special tribute before/after the Leeds game, and he won't be involved in the final game of the season so his send off is at Carrow Road. There'll be a testimonial within 12 months, when the club and Wes can agree something.

Incredible to think he joined under Roeder! He's had quite the rollercoaster ride with the club. Interesting to see what he'll do next.

It's been an honour to see Wes play - a legend who will be sorely missed. Best of luck for the future Wes.

Don't forget the ever improving Vrancic, plus the chance of signing Leitner permanently?
And the lad McClean has a trick or two, I'm led to believe?

Nothing lasts forever, sadly. Coming up to 36, it was always going to be thus.

My absolute favourite player of recent times, for City and for Ireland, thanks for the many fine memories Wes.

Hope we finish his last home game off in style with a win over Leeds on Saturday, as I also know someone who is a Leeds supporter & we've been giving each other stick over who is going to finish higher than the other.

    Is McClean another Wes/Madders?

Exactly Cromer - Vrancic does seem to have improved considerably when I've seen him recently and McClean could also possibly 'step to the plate'
    Don't discount Toffollo either.

    I hope he's more a Madders than a Wes.

I suspect he's more of a Howson type player?

Gutted. What a ledged. Running out of players I love in this club. What a pleasure to watch him for so many years.

I meant we keep him for a couple of years and sell him for mega bucks rather than we keep him until he's unsellable.
