I don't think they were wrong to sack him, but the time they sacked him was wrong. Should of either been at the start of the season or at xmas or left him till the end of this season. Tons of people seem to be sticking up for Mick because he is a genuine nice bloke, but football wise, Wolves have played crap hoofball football since we hit the premier league. He has spent over 40m on players as well so you cannot blame lack of funds as a major reason. The board seem to have made mistakes this season as well, and many comments that they have come out with, to me show how little they know about their own fans.
The sacking of McCarthy was similar to when we sacked Browny and replaced him with Dowie... There was more chance of the team remaining in the League with the previous manager than the one that took over - Terry Connor in your case. You were condemned to relegation the second he was sacked.
Luckily the bookmakers are not totally biased and have us as one of the favourites to go back up. go troll elsewhere.
Yes sacking him then was a mistake. Wolves will be in the mix for promotion next season (along with 8 others!)
