They do seem to be taking a more understanding view.

When you consider how Ian De Lar, webmaster of the Plymouth Vital website, spotted the court listing on the London Gazzette website the day before the hearing.......that HMRC were springing yet another winding-up order on PAFC......and nobody at the club seem to know who had filed such an action or even why.......at the last moment a barrister was appointed to represent PAFC.......what was obvious was that HMRC were very keen to appoint there own Administrator and liquidate the club........this would have been the landmark victim that HMRC had been seeking for quite awhile.

Yes that approach was rather devious and fortunately failed ....... with the old PAFC board taking Ridsdale's advise and quickly appointing their own administrator during the courts recess for lunch.

All water under the bridge now......... but very near the end for PAFC then.

The situation at Pompey doesn't look too clever does it. HMRC appear to be tightening the noose on football bit by bit and no doubt will continue to do so until they get their man so to speak. I think if we were to be heading for Administration right now instead of having come through it then my best guess would be we would not make it given the debts we had. I keep waiting to hear the word liquidation referring to a football club and I really don't think that is far off. Maybe not by the end of this season but I would not be shocked if one fell during the next one. I hope there are numerous Boards looking at this situation and they take steps to address their own plight which they must be able to see happening before the axe falls. Might be a bit like buses otherwise. None come for quite a while then several turn up all together.
