i always thought it was 1st chance to see all the goals, but recently found out there on sky sports news about 7... i hate being the main match pretty much guarantees 0-1 leeds..
But people whinge non stop, despite the highlights of the match been shown. It's not like they're not going to show them at all, or they refuse to cover City. They can't play a full length version of every match because it's on a daft time. If City go up, you'll get people moaning about the in depth analysis of how City lost- and they'll go why can't you put anything good about us on?
It's because it shows all the leagues, if it gave coverage like MOTD it would be on for about 5 hours
I think we will beat Leeds in any case so not worried about us being jinxed by the show or getting more coverage than the bus-shot
Scene: a darkened room in BBC Televsion Centre. 3 planners are discussing the FLS for 29/12. Planner 1: right, what shall we make the featured match? Planner 2: we can't do Cardiff again. Who are Leeds playing? Planner 3: away at Hull. Planner 1: Where's that? Planner 2: according to Wikipedia it's a City in Yorkshire. Planner 1: I don't see it on the map. Planner 3: you are looking on the wrong side of the A1 Planner 1: you mean people actually live there still? I thought it was ceded to Iceland after the Cod War. Planner 2: where are they in the League then? Planner 3: 2nd, apparently. Planner 1: (shouting) 2nd? When did that happen? Why was no one told? You mean they are actually above Leeds? And Leicester and Blackpool...? Fade out...
I was at a function a coupke of weeks ago where BBC Manchester main man Perter Salmon was the speaker. When he took questions I said "once, just once, could you put Hull City first on the FLS. This is obviously his response!
