I will argue yes with this list: The jam,

    the smiths

    joy division

    tv snooker

    tv darts

    football was more entertaining

4 tv channels that was somehow better than the hundreds we have now

    the old 29

now everything just seems ****. any ideas why this is?

I don't think there's any particular rules that have come into force since the 80's that don't allow Transvestites to compete at either Snooker or Darts.

Aye but cosmetic drugs, and silicone implants are easy, but would you really want to be a kid now, in the age of ****ing boredom and no interaction with other?

The jam, Apart from a couple of songs totally over rated.

    the smiths Dross.

    joy division More dross.

tv snooker Beginning of the overkill that destroyed its watchability.

tv darts I would rather stick darts in my eyes.

football was more entertaining No it wasn't.

4 tv channels That put out as much **** as all the multiple channels do now. With a couple of gems hidden away just like now.

the old 29 Filthy **** hole, with flooring covered in sticky sick, beer and broken glass. That could rip the soles of the strongest shoes

The Old 29 was an amazing place, wish it was still there, the same as it was.

This is something me and our lass constantly talk/have a go at her (overweight and lazy) 13 year old son. He spent the last 6 week's holidays stuck in his bedroom playing online with his friends. He couldn't quite understand when we were telling him, that when we were his age our parents would have to drag us in on a night, on a daily basis. I was a kid 20yr back and although computers were available we were always out at the park, chasing lasses or whatever, or in my case constantly running about with a ball at my feet pretending I was a Sunderland player. Times have changed so much and for the worse.

So to answer your question Comm, would I like to be a kid now with all the latest gadgets?

    Not a ****ing chance.

Ian Curtis died in 1980 so not too sure about that one. The 90s were better without question. The 60s were better again.

I'd say the 90's were the best decade. That said, I can attribute good memories to that decade. I miss my childhood :(
