Why sit next to the away fans in the Itchen North if you don't want to make a bit of noise and join in with the banter? The banter at St Mary's from the Itchen Corner is great with the away fans and I hear some people complain about the language etc but surely they should of expected it Why is the Northam designated as the loud stand?, and why can't we make The Itchen just as loud. Although the banter is great it is also very quiet.
Old lady got shouted at in front of me on Saturday, for being too loud and shouting at the ref. Joke. This was the Itchen North.
The atmosphere this season has been lacking from previous seasons, ideally we'd move the away fans to create one big singing section.
Wouldn't that just move the singing sections? The reason those areas are loud is the proximity to the (loud) away fans.
We can't move the away fans. It was said when the stadium expansion stuff was going on. Due to the other stands not having dividing walls.
The best I could think of was Kingsland North, therefore having a full northam located near the away fans, but then theres problems with concourse seregation and getting out the ground. I just think games where away fans dont bring 3000 odd, block 43 should remain open not only for the atmosphere but so there arent so many empty seats behind the goal, looked awful on MOTD
I used to go in the Itchen North around 2006/7 - that horrible "get into em, **** em up" chant was rife back then, I'm glad I seldom hear it at games now.
