Seems every single person on here got it wrong...

That victory at the weekend must have been a fluke, as it was one of Europes very best team the lads beat..

And if anyone doesn't take my word for it..cast your eyes over what the new Mourinho has to say about it..

Next time bow down to the masters of the game, and pay respect, and don't have the nerve to beat them..

Like i said "we're not worthy".

WES BROWN has issued a plea to unsettled Craig Gardner to forget the Second City and settle in Sunderland.
Gardner’s worth to Martin O’Neill’s side was perfectly underlined with his stunning goal near the end of this terrific clash just seven minutes after entering the fray from the bench.
It sealed the three points for Sunderland following Stephane Sessegnon’s first-half opener and continued the remarkable resurgence on Wearside under the Ulsterman.

But O’Neill makes no bones about the fact that Gardner, born and bred in Birmingham, is homesick and tempted to return to the Midlands.
West Brom and Wolves have registered their interest in a player who cost Sunderland £5million last summer from Birmingham City, but Brown insists he should stick it out and stay at the Stadium of Light.
He is a great player. He has a great technique and a brilliant shot on him with both feet

    Wes Brown

“Craig is all right,” said Brown. “He probably has not started as many games as he has wanted, but he will be fine. He is not going anywhere.
“He is a great player. He has a great technique and a brilliant shot on him with both feet. He got a great one at Wigan, too, and he is always pinging them in during training. All the lads love him in the dressing room.”

Swansea bossed the first half only to be a goal down at the break due to wasteful finishing and some timely interceptions, in particular by John O’Shea.

Seb Larsson hit the outside of the upright with Sunderland’s first assault on goal and minutes later they took the lead as Sessegnon swapped passes with James McClean before side-footing home into the top corner.

Danny Graham, Scott Sinclair and Gylfi Sigurdsson all failed to hit the target before half-time and the Icelandic midfielder forced Simon Mignolet into a fine save after the break, before Sunderland began to improve with Sessegnon heading just wide and Connor Wickham shooting just past the post from close range.

With five minutes to go Sessegnon teed up Gardner, who showed just why he netted double figures for relegated Birmingham last season by firing a terrific 25-yard volley past Michel Vorm.

As for the Swans, this was confirmation of their growing stature in the Premier League
    .
“It is great for the public here at Sunderland to see us,” said manager Brendan Rodgers. “They must have been wondering what this team everyone is talking about are all about and now they have seen. We were wonderful.

“Our intention is always to pass teams to a standstill, but give credit to Sunderland, they defended ever so well when other teams might have wilted.

“I suppose when you pay that kind of money for Sessegnon and Gardner, £7m and £5m, they will come up with those moments of real quality.

“Our objective at the start of this season was to stay in the league but I believe we can finish in the top 10. Of course, it is all about getting results but I still thought we were brilliant.

Over-stating it maybe, but they are good. Very good.

I think he needs to get over himself!

Do you not think the alarm bells or at least a Hmmmm!! this isnt working away from home.

    Their Home form is great.

Won 5, Drawn 5, Lost 1 (and some Sunderland supporters were saying we should have beat them away as they were newly promoted)

    Away form, they are bottom

    Won 1, Drawn 3, Lost 7

For me they need to mix it up, but its up to them really, how many times has Arsenal played really nice football, and come away with squat, it can and does work, but when its not, they need to be more direct/change it up a bit.

Ha ha what a clown. I was so bored during the game it was unbelievable. Best thing I can compare it to is two tennis players passing the ball back and forth to each other without each other trying to get the 15 runs/points.

To be honest Brendan, you did pass us to a standstill however we didn't have to move anyway as your team didn't try to attack.

I honestly couldnt be more shocked at this, oh my good god, is he related to Bendtner in some way lol???

I was far from impressed with Swansea, there was some nice passing but the fannying about at the back was just stupid and a more clynical team would have taken the ball off them and hammered them 5 nill.

I cant understand why people think Swansea play good football, they just play to their strengths but have just as many weaknesses also.

Any more comments like that and i may wish them a slippery second half of the season........im still in shock.......please somebody tell me this is a joke!!!

I found their style of play very negative and boring...They do pass the ball a lot, but without real purpose...In my opinion, Swansea's boring tactics contributed to what was one of the worst atmospheres this season.
