Fulham have announced profits of £4.8m for the 2010/11 season, with a 4.9% increase in attendance giving the Cottage a 98% occupancy figure. This seems to confirm the line that's forever being churned out about Fulham being a well run club, and presumably much of the credit must go to Alastair Mackintosh for running a tight ship. Given that the chairman's not getting any younger it's good to see the club starting to show signs of becoming more self sufficient.
I reckon, all joking aside we have the best MD of a club in the premiership. This is an awesome result for the club as a business. I feel really proud. Put it in persective Bolton made a loss of £90m or so wasn't it? Sorry any BW fans if this is incorrect. Man City over £200m loss! IMJWT
Great news for a "small" club like ours. But also shows that an increase in stadium capacity is required to get more income through the doors and maintain ticket prices at "reasonable" level!!!
The P&L appears to shown we are doing ok. To me, the issue is the net worth versus what a future owner will pay - the key for how much is available for signings or realising cab by offloading. That we can expand a little, without overstretch the finances is an encouraging sign. The senior management's good job is highlighted by the marketing to get people through the doors.
Good news allround, averaging 98% attendance is particularly good news. This seems to have continued this season with attendances staying around 25 000, good to see us going in the right direction.
At least part of the club is in the black. Just needs a small commercial adjustment to include the shorts Great news. All credit to MAF and the big Mac. And the fans - 98% full is a tremendous show of support.
I'm sure the newspapers will report this with their usual spin of saying Fulham are still £200m in debt. A quote from MAF when he took over " I have been a football fan for a long time and a big admirer of Fulham. They are a great club with a great tradition and a great History. I want to help them back to the Premiership. It sounds impossible but you have to dream and then sometimes the impossible can happen. I am not here to make money and certainly do not need to raise my profile. I am here to enjoy watching football and taking the club to the ultimate position." Long may the Dream continue.
MAF & MAC keeping the dream alive! I think McIntosh is quite happy where he is. I am sure MAF is paying him enough to keep him plus there's the huge challenge of ground development and team development to keep him occupied. I'd love to meet him, sounds like a top bloke.
