    ....To kick on from.
We've got a good squad; we're defending well; but we need more goals.

A new manager, a striker and a tad more cover.

Nigel left us (fairly) well placed.

If you look at where we are and what we have now compared to when Pearson arrived you can then appreciate what a good job he did here.

Face it all: we're far. far better placed than when Nige came in.

Agreed, and I don't believe it'll all go tits up overnight. If the right choice of new management is made, progression can be continued. I'm really not that arsed that he's going.

Like I said on other threads, Pearson gave you stability, now another manager can move you on. We need stability in a different way, because we are massively underachieving. Hopefully, Pearson can bring this! <ok>

Don't think there is room for both of us to go up so it will be interesting

Only TWF thinks he didn't go a great job for us (and he's wrong anyway) if he was **** then there wouldn't be 10 threads about him.

Shame NP isn't going to see the 'project' to the end. Some of the best football I've seen us play in many a year (perhaps excluding THAT Arsenal away game.

Seems like he's back to square one at Lesta, but I bet NP will have people like Steve Howard in his cross hairs already. Watch Lesta motor now.

Good luck to him and thanks for the memories.

Biggest problem is (obviously) getting the right fella in, who his going to be able to get Nige's players on his side. Barmbys influence here will be hugely important. I'd like to see him 2nd in charge to whoever does come in.
