I feel sorry for the guy to be honest. Best players sold out from under him every season, yet manages to qualify for the CL every year. It must break his heart to see Arsenal falling further and further behind the top 3.

I respect Wenger and Arsenal as a club too. They like Everton are running their teams/clubs the right way and I hope they reap the rewards when FPP rules are implemented just as I hope we also benefit. Lot of respect to Arsenal to be honest. They dont spend beyond there means or bow to player pressure on wages. Yet constantly they are bemoaned because they dont spend huge amounts on players and try to buy their way to the top like Man U City and Chelsea. Seems kind of unfair tbh!
Think that's a bit unfair to Man U. They've spent within their means; they simply have massive means, and would have even more if the Glazers hadn't loaded the team down with debt.
Definitely. I don't understand any hatred towards United. They produce an incredible amount of talent through their youth system, and their success comes from that, and the fact that they have the best manager in the game. They're not throwing money around that was given to them by some tycoon as a hobby, they're spending the money they've earned from being a hugely successful franchise. As for that debt they've been loaded with, they've been doing an excellent job of reducing it. Of all the teams with a realistic chance of winning the title, I'm supporting United every time.

May be it is the carefully crafted persona that he projects, suggesting that he brings a degree of intellectualism and gravitas to the mundane cliche full world of the 'football manager interview' that grates, when really his eyesight is as biased as Harry Redcrap's...
Every manager would like to have their team in first place in their domestic league while using their youth in lower round cup matches and still winning with their youth showing much promise. Of course they are somewhat annoyed to finish second, but that doesn't mean they would do anything different. Wenger bugs me with his whinging in interviews. And also his tactic of buying so much talented youth and destroying careers because he buys so much that many players never get to play. But it's the right thing for Arsenal. They stay within budget and fiscally sound and manage to generally remain competitive.
