Wenger would have signed Barton were it not for the Gervinho incident...

Just been on TalkSport that they had talks but finally broke down because of that incident. Unlucky Joey, going down like a pussy has cost you a place in the Champions League, karma...

He doesn't know when to keep his mouth shut. He never will. People say, "I like Barton because he speaks his mind." Well he can't think to shutup on issues can he... Quality player, First class tool

  7. Barton wouldn't have fit in at Arsenal. He's the sort of man they need, but all of the Arsenal players, apart from perhaps Diaby, are ****ing soft ****es, and Barton is too tough to be mixed in with them.

Barton or Parker would have been perfect for Arsenal, they've got no passion or backbone and those players would have brought some.

I hate TalkSport with a passion.

Even more so when Andy Gray joined them!

He said: "If I hadn't played against Arsenal on the first day, I may have signed for them.

"There were a couple of conversations (with Wenger) but that's different to actually signing.

"The Gervinho incident happened and there's nothing I can do about it now.

"If it happened again, I'd like to think I'd deal with it differently.

"Things happen for a reason and there's a lesson to be learned from it. Right now, we sit above Arsenal in the table - hopefully that's the case in May."

He added: "There were a couple of offers on the table but now I'm really happy to be at QPR and in London.

"We play an expansive and exciting brand of football and can hopefully surprise a few people this season."

Ooooh everything makes sense now. The whole "will he? Won't he?" ****e before he signed for QPR seemed at the time like he was holding out for Arsenal or Spurs to come calling, now we KNOW there was a link with Arsenal. Funny how it broke down, I bet Ashley and Llambias are laughing their flabby tits off, and rightly so.

Exactly, if he'd waited a year and kept his mouth shut he could have gone to at least Villa/Everton this time next year, or possibly even Arsenal/Tottenham.

So happy he's talking about the big clubs he could have signed for.

Cracking player last season but a self obsessed gobshite with an overly inflated ego.
