I watched the north London derby as a neutral and got to say I thought it was a fantastic game and Arsenal were magnificent to come back from 2-0 down. I then saw the TV interview with an unwell Wenger and thought to myself what an amazing dignified manager Wenger is. To have served one club so loyally for so long. Bear in mind Real Madrid want him now but he's with the gunners. I think the Wenger haters need a reality check. Look at Liverpool. Rafa got them competing for titles and won the CL yet that wasn't enough and he was pushed out. Look where Liverpool are now. They're nowhere near the top 4 and celebrating winning the Carling Cup on penalties against Championship opposition. Beware of what you wish for Wenger haters. Arsenal have no divine right to a top 4 position as any club does, particularly in the day and age of big money backers for clubs like Chelsea and Man City. I think Wenger is a legend in the mould of SAF and some Arsenal fans should show more respect. Under Wenger, Arsenal have been a club that every neutral admires and respects. Liverpool moaned about not winning titles, sacked Benitez and have gone backwards ever since. Arsenal fans should count themselves lucky they have such a talented committed and loyal manager as Wenger.
Wenger should stay. I think he knows he needs to improve on the current crop of players we have. He isnt stupid. He knows. I suspect he will look far and wide in the summer. For the first time in years I think wenger now gets we arent good enough and he will buy to remedy this/
